+++++8-2 going into the BYE
++++++ Miss Skully is gone for 2 weeks
6 pluses with the wife gone.
+ Aaron Jones
- Aaron Rodgers
+ a win in the NFL is a win
+ Aesthetics and officiating aside there were exciting NFL Games today. Titans and Chiefs lose on last play field goal misses. Colts, Panthers, Rams all stopped on last possession. Bucs score late in come from behind win.

How many pluses does Mrs. Skully have for getting away from Skully for two weeks?
+
8-2 going into the bye.
Running game in general. Thought Jones and Williams both ran well and the OL did a nice job opening holes.

Bit puzzled by the performance of AR. Didn't appear to be seeing the field well and made a few questionable decisions (Lazard open in EZ and could have pretty easily run for a first late in the game).

Winning in the NFL is hard. Almost every game is a slog.
The running game looked great.
The Graham catch down the seam was the play I've waited nearly 2 years for.
Liked the call to go for TD at half.

AR just is a hair off on some throws/decisions that seemed automatic for him years past. It's a nice negative to have vs the rest of the NFL, but he's missing some plays. They left a lot of points out there today...
Thought they should have gone for it 4th and 3 on that last drive. It's a great spot on the field, it's also a perfect point where the D is expecting pass so it opens up a lot of options for you.
Didn't like the playcall at end of half. Running up the gut from a pretty obvious running formation...
=======
8-2 though and can't complain too much.
++++ A win is a win.
Rams lose
Panthers lose
Vikings will lose.
Saints lose
-------- Went bow deer hunting during 1st half, saw a buck but too far away to shoot.
It's snowing here now too.
+ pash rush
+ containing mccaffery for the most part
+ just win baby and saints lose
+ we ran the ball
+/- Kevin "cushion" king
- arod and pass game not sustaining drives
- kick the fg

Preston Smith
Aaron Jones

Snow at Lambeau... beautiful football scenery
8-2 headed into the bye with a healthy team

Does Intentional Grounding exist any longer??
Run the goddamn football... and then run it again
Bombs on 3rd down... Dumb football
+ win in a crucial time of the season
+ Jones & Adams
- Going for the TD. Should at least been a play action pass

I am giving King a +
Maybe I’ve set the bar too low, but I thought King had a decent game. At least he made some solid plays.
The roughing call in the EZ was horseshit, but so was Lazard's offensive PI, its the game.
I'm actually pleasanty surprised how well they held McCaff in check.
Changed my mind on WWJ, he is the greatest
What ever happened to MVS?
I saw Gary's jersey once.
I don't get paid quiet as well as an NFL head coach, but if I had my own team, I would have my TE run drag routes for 7 yards all game long against the Packers. Even without this wisdom, backup QB's have looked pretty good against the Pack.
-
Packer DBs need to catch the ball when it's thrown at them. Jaire dropped the game-ender and Tramon had to clean up after Amos.
I thought King was Chaotic-Good

And he’s consistently been on the field this season. That’s a big plus for him.
I’m not going to get too rough on Jaire not grabbing that pick. In perfect weather-maybe. With the snow coming down, slippery ball, cold hands. Easier to critique from the comfort of our easy chairs.
+ 8-2, pretty healthy. Both Jones and Williams look great. Jimmy Graham turned back the clock.
- Rodgers. Not so much his passing. His decision making was awful. Throwing 30+ yards downfield on third down is a low probability completion. Great when it happens to convert, but all those times it doesn’t, it’s a punt, and pressure on the D again. Get to the line. Get the ball snapped before the game clock runs down. You’re a Hall of Fame QB at home. Not getting the ball hiked on time is inexcusable. Stop worrying so damned much about the hard count trying to get the defense to jump offsides. It’s been our own Olinemen that have been jumping lately. Opposing defenses are on to you by now. Do it every once in a while.
Physical skills will always decline some over time. That’s understandable. He’s still strong, and able to run pretty well. But #12 making mistakes a rookie would make-that’s perplexing, and I don’t get it. And MLF has to chew his ass for it.
This team is not great, but it is 8 and 2 with plenty of room to improve. They are healthy and have, it seems good veteran leadership. These attributes will be very important down the stretch.
There are no super teams, SF has plenty of tough games ahead. Win the rest and home field is a possibility. No more Charger fuckups please.
Some team will win it all, why not the Pack?
+
They beat a good team.

MLF has to stay consistent. If you are going to be aggressive, be aggressive. All pedal, no gas is fine, but then don't chicken out. If you are going to go for 7 at the end of the 1st half, then go for it on 4th and 3 from the 37 in the 4th quarter. Someone during the game said it was shades of the Philly 4th and 26 game. It was. Would you rather have Aaron Rodgers trying to get 3 yards and if it doesn't work force them to go 63 yards or punt and force them to go 90? I'd rather give Rodgers a shot.
++ I know a beer town!
- - It only has one bar.
- NFL for me is becoming unwatchable because of piss poor officiating.
+ 8-2, suck a D haters
++++++ 8-2 at the bye! (And 3-0 in division).
+ Lazard
+ Jones and Williams
- At risk of thinking we’re special because we’re 8-2, when in fact our play has LOTS of room for improvement.
- Is it me? What has happened to MVS? I expected a huge year from him and he has had the dropsies and pretty much disappeared in this offense. I thought he was the deep speed demon??? Also disappointed in Allison this year, although he was at least somewhat involved today.
- Mental errors/penalties.
-Special teams not so special. What’s happened to J.K. Scott?
-DB’s had a few shots at interceptions and didn’t make them. I’m tired of seeing them celebrate afterwards. There are no awards given away for ALMOST getting a turnover.
-Not getting a TD at the end of the first half. Really????
-Good Lord, NEVER thought I’d root for the Cowgirls, but I’d rather see them win tonight than the Purple people.
EDIT: Forgot to mention #50 whiffing all the time. Having better ILB’s would sure be nice.
All pedal, no gas.
++ The bar is a mile long! YAY!!
— It only has one bartender. BOO!!
++ It has 50 barmaids! Yay!!
— The barmaids wear long skirts. Boo!!
++ The skirts are made of cellophane! YAY!!

1) No Doubt
2) I've been waiting for it since the Pack lose Finley
3) Disagree, You get the ball coming out in Q3 - in that situation with the lead, take the points. It ain't "sexy" but it's efficient
4) A win heading into the bye against a solid NFC team is always a good thing.

1) DING DING!! YOOOGE
2) ST's played somewhat better today. When the Panthers muffed the ball on the goalline, Packer coverage did a good job.
3) Until he completes it -- it's the kind of sexy play that Rodgers has fallen in love with because it crushes the opposition. CRUSHES, when it works!

Gary who?
Wonder about posters in the game thread bagging on the defense. Held Carolina to 16 points. Take it very time.
Week 10 and Rodgers and MVS still not on he same page. Hopefully bigger things to come after the bye.
Love to see the RB tandem not only pounding the ball but also a major part of the passing game.
Call me old fashioned, but I think you kick the FG with 2 seconds remaining in the 1st half...already with the lead. Come away with points.
8-2 , a bye, and multiple things to improve on.
-- Rodgers just didn't look like he was comfortable with the play calls today or maybe the cold. The long shot to MVS early could have been a back-breaker, but he threw it a bit short and over the wrong shoulder. He tosses it to the outside and a little longer and it's a TD. I think Rodgers is also losing trust in his line.
-- Bak. He's looking awfully pedestrian and sometimes even worse.
++ Lazard. Here's hoping he only gets better! (BS PI call.)
++ Run game. Jones/Williams are a dynamic duo. STs took a step up, except for Scott.
++ Health. Mine and the team's. Can now go back to breathing and restart my heart.

If it weren’t for the Packers, I wouldn’t be watching right now. I don’t remember the on field product ever being this bad. The officiating is just one part. A big one, but just one.
The 0-7 Dolphins beat the 5-3 Colts.
The 1-7 Falcons, with their third string running back, beat the 7-1 Saints in New Orleans.
The 2-6 Browns beat the 6-2 Bills.
This goes way beyond parity. This is ugly football.
I’m having a hard time swallowing the whole strength of schedule issue in the AFC. The defending champion Patriots started 8-0 against 7 teams (Jets twice) that had an aggregate .275 winning percentage. Take away the then 5-2 Bills, 7 of their wins came against teams with a combined 9-44 record (.205 winning pct).
Aren’t Super Bowl champs supposed to have tough schedules? They are guaranteed 5 wins a year, because they play the inept Bills, Jets and Dolphins six times a year. Those three teams have a combined three playoff appearances on the last nine years. I know there’s a rotating schedule, but if your sport’s champs are going a half season before seeing a truly good opponent.....
Add in the completely inept officiating, and it’s hard to watch.
Isn’t 3 x 2= 6 wins?
Milwaukee Public School grad here, so I could be rong.
I think it's hasty to put an onus on wrs at this point when 12 is having issues making decisions. There's been a half dozen times this year that a wr was wide open for a big play or td that 12 has failed to see. I think he's seeing ghosts that last couple of weeks, I think he may have some physical thing that may be bothering him that we don't know about. I think he's made decisions thus far that while they don't result in turnovers leave a lot to be desired in terms of situational football. A couple throwaways today were inside 2 seconds of the snap. He's missed a handful of would be tds because he didn't get the ball downfield. The throw to 17 down the middle should have been 6. So whether it's physical or mental, it's hard to tell if someone like MVS or GMO is disappearing as opposed to Rodgers lacking trust or not seeing things like he has in the past. It's probably a combination of all factors, but had they lost today 12 should rightly have taken a portion of blame. They should not have been up by only one score for so much of that 4th qtr.
Bahk was on the injury report earlier this year with a back. I wonder if it's an ongoing thing and guys lining up on him know how to go after a bad back.
Very possible - Buck Cherry is definitely struggling at times.
