+ win and now a week off to figure some things out, see '-'

+ winning makes all the neg's a little easier to take...

+ 17,12,30,33, 87 what?, various wr's at various pts in the game

- kk20 must be hurt, they can't keep giving cushions like they have been, simple pick play and it goes for big yards, maybe tony brown will take that spot over.

- TE's running like gazelles in the middle is making me sick.

- ST's are still a problem

I still believe that we are figuring out both sides of the ball...winning while we are doing that is a bonus.

watching some semblance of a pass rush is a refreshing thing.  if we can somehow get 52 more involved this would be awesome going into late nov and dec.

+++ Jimmy Graham had his best reception as a Packer on that long gainer! Jimmy Graham actually blocked, as well! Allen Lazard belongs on this team as our #2 WR. Jones and Williams not sparing any effort to bulldoze the cowboy pile towards the end zone. Davante Adams made some nice catches. Nice INT by Tramon! Kevin King had a decent game today and is having a pretty good season, so far. A decent job by our Defense stopping, or slowing, McCaffrey. Kenny Clark had a great day! He was always in the backfield. Non call on Bulaga holding Kuechly during a Jones TD. 8-2 at the bye! Nice!

--- Bogus PI calls on Davante and Lazard! 2 offsides calls on both the Smiths with the Panthers deep in our territory. Missed sacks! Savage and Z Smith both missed on their sack attempts by a mile. Every ref crew, in the League, could have called those PI calls differently, if at all. So much inconsistentency in the officiating, League wide. Jaire dropping a probable Pick 6. The vikings pull a victory out of Jerruh's ass. Panthers' TEs giving our defense fits. We'd better straighten that out before we play Kittle and the 49ers.

Agree on Kenny Clark. He was very disruptive up the middle - which has been lacking the last few games. If he can continue that it will make our defense much stronger.

Good

Offense is getting better and better (not counting the terrible SD game)

Davante Adams looking almost as good as ever

Jones and Williams really becoming a terrific tandem

Lazard, Kumerowâ€Ķ and even Graham made some good catches

Fackrell makes some key plays, especially at the goal line when he closed down the lane and then forces McCaffrey into Smith waiting to make to stop short.

Rodgers' performance seems a bit of a struggle at times in the context of the new strategy on offense.   Old habits are hard to break.  Still, he had some incredible throws yesterday.  He had some scramble opportunities, but I think he is being cautious about not getting hurt.

BAD

MVS has to attack the ball that long pass was perfectly placed for him to go up and get, but he hesitated and let the DB get first dibs on it.

S/Ts: No return yards; but they give up 80 yards.

69 whiffed bad on that 4th and Goal play.  But it was a bad play selection too.

Refs...

Ugly

Tremon Smith's kickoff tackle... he's lucky he didn't break his neck.

Misc.

I am still waiting for the quick paced offense that MLF was supposed to introduce.

Not much of a fan when the D Train gets rolling... just make the play and get back to business.

Wondering if the Packers are holding back on some plays knowing they have SF coming up and then in December, there are some obvious important matchups.

And yes, the MFL has become an enigma of what it once was.  Starts with Goodell.   Too many rules; too lenient on rule-breakers; too much clutter due to over-officiated crap; too much technology; too much coverage and analysis; too much money...hence the Monetary Football League or Mediocre Football League fits too.

Rivera said post game he was positioning himself for a win with 2 tds instead of the tie. Idk. he could have went for 2 the 2nd time around, but going for it first means if they failed they could still tie with 2nd converstion. said with 60+% conversion rate the metrics were in his favor. not agreeing just restating

It's hard to guage exactly what kind of team they beat yesterday.  Their QB#2 has played well this year and he was nails for most of yesterday, even with a good amount of pressure in his face.  Did the D make him look that good?  Dunno.  McCaffrey can go off at any moment.  They had a good amount of momentum coming into this game and a shot at making up some ground in their division.  If GB plays a clean game, they rout.  But they haven't played like that for a couple weeks now.  "Still developing", or fatal flaws we can expect the rest of the way?

McCaffrey had a very good game, but not great.  I think GB did a good job against a player that can (And often does) literally change the outcome of the game on one snap.

Allen isn't their #2 any longer... He's clearly their #1.  Newton will get traded in the off season.  There's already talk about a trade and it sounds like he has a favorable contract to get it done.

Positives:  McCaffrey didn't gash the Packers like I thought he would

Running game.  Damn its nice to have a head coach that doesn't just give lip service saying he wants to run the ball but he actually will stick to running the ball

To me I think this offense is still hasn't totally hit their stride

Negatives:

The defense HAS to figure out how to cover the TE

I really like this defense but sometimes they play a bend but don't break style

+ We scored >20

+ We allowed <20

We're 8-2, healthy and on the plus side in the important categories...everything else is fluff. We're 7th in Points Forced (25ppg) and 17th in Points Allowed (20.5 ppg), 7th in net points per game (4.5ppg) and 3rd in TO differential (+9) . SB winners from this decade have had a per game point differential of, on average, 7.25 ppg, so either need to allow <18ppg or score >28ppg to meet that standard.

Not really a + or - but I'm a little surprised that neither Jones or Williams caught a pass yesterday. Jones only had 1 reception for -1 yard in the Chargers game as well.

Definitely a - because it means Rodgers isn’t looking for them anymore because he feels he needs to score on every single play

Disagree. They're simply not putting everything on tape -- need some surprises for game #15

+ Winning an NFC game is YOOOGE

+ Winning without Rodgers throwing a TD pass is YOOOGE

+ Winning while giving up a ton of yards is YOOOGE

+ Most important stat is points. When they allow 16 or less, they win every ball game.

- Pre-snap penalties/Delay of game are driving me nuts. At this point in the season there is zero excuse for not having the play in on time & zero excuse for false starts IN LAMBEAU. (I'd expect it on the road where it may be loud)

- They still haven't played a clean game. If/when they do...there isn't a team in the NFL that can beat them & that includes the Baltimore Ravens.

P.S. The Ravens are the best team in football IMO & Lamar Jackson is far & away the front runner for MVP...not Russell Wilson

The most inexcusable was the delay of game coming out of a timeout.  I think we had one of those earlier in the season as well.  Some commentary I read talked about Rodgers running the clock down hoping to get an offsides on defense.

Don't know if that's true--I would think in a motion offense that MLF is trying to run, things need to be more timed up where the snap is right on the heels of motion, a more rhythm type offense.  I think if you are running motion, you need to start the motion and then the snap with more than 5 seconds on the clock.

I hope not.  I would like to see LJ, Watson, Mahomes, Jimmy G, Baker etc continue their upward trend.  I'm in for the entertainment and good exciting  players bring just that.  Heck, I even want Mitch and Curt to remain upright.

But I fear you are right.

You lost me with Mitch and Curt remaining upright. I want these guys to be smears on the gridirons they play on. Wherever they may be. I want to see Cousins go down and Spielman being forced into having bake sales, on street corners, to help pay off Cousins' contract.

The biggest + for me was that we won, but in a different fashion than before.  One week Jones goes off running, the next week its's Williams.  We have stretch where we feature the RB as a WR, then we don't.  Previously, the only way we win is if AR has a monster/near perfect game.  This team still has some problems to clean up (pre-snap, cover tight ends, explosive plays, etc) but I never would have thought 8-2.  Unless the unspeakable happens, this team will make the playoffs. Yes, a bye or home field would be nice, but as we've seen, winning in the playoffs is about health and who gets hot at the right time.  I'm excited for the future.
