Good spot for a letdown. After beating down the odds-on favorite to win it all Friday, the world has been remarkably silent about the statement made. Nonetheless, that game was the most locked-in the Bucks have been in any game in my lifetime. How would you not come down some after that performance?

Granted, Giannis’ fire to compete should prevent them from a letdown, Orlando is an improved team and it wouldn’t be shocking...

I am more concerned later this week on the back to back and then heading into big games next week v Dallas and the LAL.

I forgot who posted it but had Bogdonovic not hit the game winning 3 in Utah they could be around 20 in a row right now.

Yes. The Lakers beat the Wolves (in what was a relatively close game until late) in the Wolves' third game of a West Coast trip and the ESPN page main article is how much of a statement the Lakers made and how great AD is.

The Bucks blow the Clippers out of the arena on Friday (relatively rested Clippers team) and it is a passing reference nationally. The Bucks need to have a chip on their shoulders about that and use it to keep motivated.

The Magic are the type of team that can get hot from 3 and beat anyone, so the Bucks need to make sure they don't give up too many uncontested 3s.

Bucks are 3-0 so far in games I have been in attendance, so hopefully it's 4-0 after I go there tonight.  That Clippers game was one fun game to be at, but I have to admit, they're probably bound to have a letdown after that beating they put on LA.  Here's to hoping they dig deep and find a way to keep the streak going.

Out to a 13 point lead and then a classic Middleton poor play sequence we haven't seen in a few games where he has 2 turnovers and a missed layup in non-Giannis minutes. Allows Orlando to go on an 8-0 run.

Elite defense being played tonight. They’re getting the rotation figured out now. And I have to compliment Middleton since he came back- he’s not doing the “my turn” shit anymore, he’s playing the system and letting the game come to him.

He’s still prone to boneheaded turnovers but he seems to have seen the light.

Bucks shooting 38%... still up 12. They’re rusty after 2 nights off. And while I complimented Middleton, he’s 3/10. Bucks 8/24 from 3, 12/28 from 2, 4/8 from the line.

ANd they lead by 12 because Orlando’s been held to 29% shooting.

Giannis goes 32/15/8 and it didn't even seem like that good a game for him. I'm getting spoiled.

He does need to be better than 6 for 12 from the line. Hack a Giannis happened once in the last minute and he went 1 for 2.

Giannis to Midd... and they finally put these guys away.

I guy like Isaac is one of the few guys that can somewhat slow Giannis down. It seemed like it even though Giannis was 12-22 from the floor

Another boring win

Saw Martinez, and pretty sure Zadarius, Rashan, Keke, and Montravious at Fiserve tonight. Arrived late and left early. Good vibe for a Monday !!

Getting spoiled with another Ho-hum 30+-10+ from Gianni

The Bucks have played 24 games and are 21-3.   Of their losses the game against Miami and at Utah could very easily have been wins.  They’ve also only had a total of two “close wins” - Utah at home and at LAC.

I guess what I am trying to say is this is a pretty damn good team and quite honestly they can get better.

What’s insane is they could go .500 the rest of the way and still finish 53-29.  In the East this year I think it’s a race to 60 wins for the top seed.   I think Boston has staying power and the Sixers should be in the hunt but I do not think Miami or Toronto or Indiana can get there.

The "letdown" happened in the 2nd half when they kept allowing Magic to hang around.

Middleton with the dagger 3.

This is the quietest 15 game win streak in NBA history.

I'm guessing the NBA really wants Giannis out of Milwaukee.

I swear to Christ if Giannis leaves in summer of 2020 the NBA can go fuck themselves.

I am never watching an NBA game again if that happens.

There are 30 games left until the All-Star break. The Bucks could go 29-1 but if they lost to either the Lakers, Sixers, or Celtics (or god forbid go 28-2 and lose to two of them), there'd be 5 articles in the national media about how the Bucks won't be able to compete for a title once they get into the playoffs and Giannis is probably leaving. I don't think they are going to approach that (and we shouldn't expect it), but I think something like 22-8 is realistic before the break. That would put them at 43-11.

The risk is that the NBA can push things in certain directions if they want. All it takes is a couple of borderline charge calls on Giannis in a playoff series. There is also the risk of some guy going "Fred Van Vliet 14-17 from 3 over 3 games" on you and losing a series that way. It can happen to the best teams.

This whole narrative that it's got to be a title for Giannis or he leaves is just stupid, and you've never heard it from Giannis.

I’m ok with the lack of media attention. We all know where it comes from. Just look at last Friday’s ESPN matchup- instead of Bucks/Clippers, a possible Finals preview, they went with Lakers/Blazers.

Today Screamin’ A is talking up how the Knicks need to hire Jason Kidd and that’s how they can get Giannis... lol. With a serious face even...

It really would be devastating to see Giannis leave.  This new Fiserv Forum era of Bucks basketball has been so ridiculously good, I hope they can find a way to keep it going for awhile.  If nothing else, I think the Bucks have done just about everything they can to try to keep Giannis happy.  You just never know though, he's a young guy and maybe he might see the allure of a bigger market as a way to truly fulfill his dreams.

If he leaves, I will wish him well.... and then I'll go curl up in the fetal position and cry like a baby.  Ok, maybe I won't go that far, but it will be tough to ever see that guy in something other than a Bucks uniform.  Almost every night you go to the Fiserv Forum you see him do something special that maybe only a handful of guys who have ever played the game could do, and in some cases, he might be the only guy that had the combination of length, height, strength, and athleticism to make certain plays.  It has been incredible to watch the guy, let's hope we get a few more years out of him here.

Giannis is different. Dude is all about family and loyalty. We will see what is ultimately important to him.

Different than most star athletes any way.

Image result for Giannis loyalty is in my dna

 Some harsh people out there.

Agree. We were talking last night about the cost of season tix....but it was quickly pointed out to me(by someone who benefits from my income and my season tickets )  that the experience of witnessing Giannis, the birth of Fiserv, Deer District, etc....has been one hell of an experience.

I chose not to get full season tickets this year as I decided I really just wanted to pick and choose games and not go to every single one.  That said, I've already been to 4 games and have at least a couple more lined up including the Pelicans game tomorrow.

Everything about the Fiserv Forum experience including the action on the court is top notch right now.  Hell, I even love the soft background music they play for the Bucks player intros right now, it's simple but I love it, and then they immediately follow that up with the old 1990 hip hop hit "The Power" by SNAP which is probably my favorite song of the '90s right after the intros are done.  Maybe the only complaint I have is that they kind of messed up the Bucks' dance squad, but if that's the worst thing they've done, they've done an awful lot of things right.

I went to 6 games last year and have gone to 2 this year with another one this month.  Honestly it’s the best ticket in town right now.  Better than Packers or Badgers or Warriors or Brewers.  The fan experience is top notch.  Plus this team has a legit shot at greatness.  If I were in Milwaukee instead of Fox Valley I would go to 20+ Bucks games easily.

I went to the Lions game at Lambeau and holy shit what a bore compared to Fiserv.   Packers could learn a lot from the Bucks.  Same thing with the Badgers.  Brewers are OK but not like the Bucks.

As for the Giannis wants out of Milwaukee narrative whatever.  He’s a different guy.  Durant was a bitch.  Kyrie is a head case.  Kawhi is a ruthless hired gun.  Giannis is Giannis.   If there is any inkling he wants to leave Horst and this organization will maximize his trade value and rebuild the team.

But that’s not 34.  He’s not a passive aggressive d bag like LeBron or Durant.  If he leaves it’s because the team fucked him and I don’t see that happening.

Hey Knicks - I will gladly trade him just give us your next 5 first rounders.  Most which will be lottery picks.

If Giannis plays his whole career here, he really only needs to win one title to be considered a success. Even he doesn't win a title, he would own the town for the rest of his life in a way that only maybe Robin Yount approached (and Yount, while great, wasn't a transcendant player like Giannis).

If he goes to LA or Golden State, he's just one of a half dozen or so great players that will win titles there. I think LeBron's one title in Cleveland probably means more than the 2 in Miami plus whatever he wins in LA.

In the modern era, Kobe, Duncan, and Jordan/Pippen should be what guys aspire to be. Start with a team, do all the hard work, and win it where you started.

There might not be a better story in sports right now than Giannis. A guy who had to share shoes with his brother less than a decade ago to be able to play basketball has become the top basketball player in the world. And he's seemed to do it without being bitter about how he had to live until he was 14 years old and appears (at least on the outside) to treat everyone around him with respect. It's almost like he can't be real. Things like driving to 90 miles to Oshkosh on his off day to watch his brother play a G league game and going to talk to the kid who mops the floor in the tunnel while he was there.

Watching Giannis reminds me: on his way out of the Herd arena last night he saw a 19-year-old who mops the court in the tunnel. Giannis asks the kid how old he is, he tells him, and Giannis goes: “When I was about your age, 16 or 17, I was mopping too.” Then they took a selfie.

Tschmack I agree with you on the fan experience.  I went to Packers/Redskins on Sunday, then Bucks/Magic on Monday Night.  Bucks experience definitely was better.  Admittedly, I am a much bigger fan of going to September Packers' games than December ones though.

Would you really trade him for 5 first round picks right now? Any team Giannis goes to has almost zero chance of picking towards the top of the draft. You'd be trading him for essentially 5 guys like Donte DiVencenzo and DJ Wilson.

You almost never get true value for trading a superstar player. The Bucks got a pretty good haul for Kareem 45 years ago, but I'd have rather kept Kareem. The Bucks had a better chance to win a title with prime Kareem surrounded by a bunch of average guys than they did with Junior Bridgeman, Dave Meyers, Brian Winters, and Elmore Smith and a bunch of average guys.

He’s not going anywhere. They’ve already drawn the paperwork. Billionaires own this team, and they know what’s going on. There’s no catastrophic collapse coming.  The team loves playing together, they are very close. There’s no Kawhi brooding over in the corner, refusing to play because of an injury. There’s no other superstar trying to be more important (Durant/Westbrook), there’s no entitlement to Greatness (Lebron)... there is NOTHING in common with the Banana Boat crew.

Anyone in the media that thinks for one second he’s like any of these other guys, that just proves how stupid they are. He’s going to stay in Milwaukee a long time. He’s not going anywhere...
