Taking joy in others' vacations.

I wish I could take joy in all the vacation photos people post on Facebook. Or the pictures of their drinks. Or them complaining they are at their vacation compound and the water is too cold, or that the breeze is too cool.

Or, just anything.

I'm more that a little worried about al

Who's your Daddy comes to duckens? Chucks? This is science gone astray

Scientists at the organization that brought us Dolly the sheep, the first cloned animal, have produced a genetically modified chicken fathered by a duck and birthed by a hen. No word on whether it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, but the researchers say it raises hope that hens could be used to produce different species, like songbirds and eagles — even extinct or endangered birds. "We could propagate endangered species or potentially bring back an extinct one if we had the right genetic material," the National Avian Research Facility's Mike McGrew told a British newspaper. Exciting or chilling?

What's next? Sheats? Horkeys? Eleraffes?

I just noticed that many high school games and practices were canceled in the past couple weeks due to the heat and humidity.
Really? Have they considered just taking some longer breaks? The Rambling son comes in all sweaty from riding his bike and playing with the friends down the street, but after five minutes in the cool and a glass of water, he heads right back out.

Again, al has his pulse on how things work.  We just need air conditioned rooms for the football player to hang out in during more frequent breaks.  I'm sure the rambling son is matching the same level of physical activity, cause really, he is al's son.  I'm sure he is wearing pads as well.
