It's unfortunate things didn't work out with the Patriots. But Antonio is healthy and is looking forward to his next opportunity in the NFL. He wants to play the game he loves and he hopes to play for another team soon.

Having said all that.....

I have no idea what kind of guy AB was before January 9, 16. But that’s when Vontaze Burfict absolutely scrambled ABs head with one of the filthiest head shots ever delivered on a football field. AB was out cold before he hit the ground. 

Burfict was a raging maniac before he got to Zimmer right before Zimmer left for Minny. I don’t think Zimmer once told Burfict to take things down a notch. 

Not saying that hit resulted in present day nutcase AB. But that was a kill shot and I wouldn’t begin to know how the brain functions or recovers from something like that.

My bet is he collected his fee as soon as AB signed that contract. Making sure he gets paid before anyone else.

My wife who doesn’t watch football at all believes that CTE might be in play with some of ABs antics.  

From all accounts, Brown was “normal” until a few years ago and you do wonder if head shots may be impacting his behavior. 

He was normal until he got rich. Then he started acting like diva.  Just copying some othe WR.(Irvin for one  Moss for another) 

Just my opinion. Irvin is twice the dick Moss is and Moss is twice the receiver Irvin was. 

I have no idea what AB was like before that hit. But you can't pretend this stuff doesn't have long term impact. Nobody gets fucking drilled directly to their head at max velocity in opposite direction and walks away clean. I'm sorry. There is damage being done. 

And every time I watch that replay I think Burfict should be in fucking prison. That wasn't football. That was bullshit.

So I’m pretty certain AB is gonna play football in the NFL again. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s this year.  So the question is - which team gambles.

We can’t blame CTE every time players do something bad. Brown has probably always been an asshole, money and everyone in his life enabling him have amplified his worst traits. Irvin, Moss, and TO’s problems are nothing compared to this guy...I bet Tomlin, Gruden, and BB would gladly put up with TO and Irvin’s crap all day rather than deal with Brown, who seems like an actual psycho.

I know several people who knew him from his days at Central Michigan. He grew up sleeping on teammates couches in high school because his home life was a wreck and he never matured from that experience. Some guys make it out of those situations and become great human beings (Donald Driver), some guys can't ever get past it. 

Brown trusts almost no one and thinks every white guy is a racist. His interactions with many college teammates were basically talking about what he was going to do to specific college girls that were going to show up for his weekend fun. 

He'll probably be dead in a decade, if not sooner.
