i would 2nd the bay beach. a lot of fun for kids that age and cheap. water park in the area, kids museum, packer experience and pratice if you go that late, a railroad museum with railroad ride experience, not tht far from manitowoc and could do the submarine tour.

I want to go someplace that has a bunch of baseball diamonds and was the scene for filming an iconic movie. It needs to be within 5 hours driving distance and don't tell me to go to the site of "Field of Dreams."

The vacation ideas are for my daughter and grandson. She might consider Branson since she has a friend that lives not too far away from there. Yes, I know it's more than a four hour drive...

My ideas for a good vacation revolve around a week vacation for the son with Grandma, and then mom takes a weeks vacation where it's warm, sunny, sandy and fun.
