+ Packers coaching for recognizing that the the Seattle passing game is an illusion concocted from an average thrower and BAD receivers. Billy Schroeder era bad.

+ Tackling to get the man down, not to make a statement.

- 30 yards+ on each returned KO

This is the first game this year I've been able to watch from the 1st quarter on. My Bears fan friend (who owns the bar where I watch) was ""F*** the Packers" for the whole time. Only because he's a lousy gambler.

I have to admit, I didn't see this coming.  At 4-6 I was all about losing out, getting rid of all coaches/GM, and hoping for a great draft.  I'm not sure they will pull it off, but I'm all in after this.  I just wonder where this type of play was during the skins/colts/titans stretch.  (I'm sure someone can pull up that previous post if need be)

I stand corrected and I guess it just goes to show that Dr's don't know as much as they think.

On a side note, I was at the Schitcago game at Lambeau and shotgunned a beer while tailgaiting with my brother and a buddy.  I started the tradition again (via video) before the eagles game and then again before the texans.  All three of us take a video and send it to each other.  Today I did two, one for the D and one for the O.  Guess I'll have to keep it rolling.

Well not to rub it in bvan, but this was an easy decision to go big on the good guys getting points at home.

Everything had been coming together for this team, and it had all the markings of a MM/AR "signature" game (thanks Bob).

My only worry was the defense, but I figured they would coming out firing with everything on the line and the hated Seahawks in the house.

I get it though, if you already have enough interest in the game that you didn't need to bet it. Still, sometimes you have to trust your own knowledge of your own team there buddy!

Here's a minus. Tried to watch the start of the first quarter on my Sunday Ticket Max streaming BS, can't get the video until after midnight. Freakin' bastards chisel you every which way. I guess I need to buy "NFL Game Pass" if I want video of games that just ended

Just to piggyback off of this, when I checked the the506.com it listed us as getting the LA game here in San Diego. That's ok though, I do have the streaming Sunday Ticket, so I'd just watched it there. At some point before Sunday they switched the game on the local affiliate and I hadn't checked again. But, obliviously, I loaded up the game on Sunday Ticket and it worked fine until the fourth quarter even though it should have been blacked out.

So I'm refreshing the game thread here, and waiting 60 seconds before reading anything when I could have just been keeping up on live TV. Then the feed crashes, the app crashes, I reboot it and it says I'm blacked out. I stare dumbfounded for a bit and then check the local listings and sure enough SEA @GB. So I tune in and of course they had switched to a more competitive game.

So yeah, throw all the money you can at 'the shield', but they will never just let you watch 100% of the game you want to watch. Not when they have a scheme in mind to find one more coin under your couch cushion.

**** off Roger Goodell.

It sure is nice to see them pound a hated rival. I think we're seeing why it was Michael who was the odd man out in Seattle. But he's their best option- hopefully he'll get his assignments squared away. He looked good on a number of runs.

Jordy is rounding into form now. Mojo between him and Rodgers seems to have returned. With Cook back out, time for 5 wide and lets go.

Rodgers' injuries hurt. I don't know if I buy the "he plays better hurt" argument- maybe McCarthy calls a better game, but Rodgers' mobility is a big part of his game, and when a team has to dedicate a spy to keep him from getting away it's one less defender to dedicate to covering receivers.

Adams was completely smoking guys off the line today. Good luck defending that.

Seattle's defense is not the same minus Thomas. He stirs that drink.

Gebbins.

Glad to have you back on the bandwagon Doc!

Were the non-believers actually 'non-believers' or just commenting on how bad this team has played for a very large chunk of this season?

Regardless, it was maybe the clubs best performance in years and I will say the conclusion of this season has a familiar ring to it so far.

Schedule also couldn't be set up any better.

Obviously the major concern is 12's leg but maybe one-legged 12 is better suited for these conditions?

Note the above is sarcasm.

Disagree. The receivers are solid (Baldwin and Graham are good) and Wilson's a good passer, but their offensive line is garbage on a good day and they had their Don Barclay at LT yesterday. Capers schemed to take advantage of that, and they did. The pass rush was disciplined and even and there was rarely a ^ or a v for Wilson to step up or step out from. It was a really nice combination of scheme and execution.

It's surprising considering he was on the bubble in training camp and was probably the 6th best receiver on the roster.

Maybe it's just me, but the Packers seem to be running a lot more crossing routes, etc. lately and that seems to have coincided with Adams' ascension. It seems to have loosened opposing defenses up just enough where Adams' ability to cut in enhanced while his lack of deep speed is minimized.

Along DocBenni's post. After the Titans loss I had just about given up on the season and said Mike deserved another year provided he cleaned house with his staff (with exception of Whitt)

I still want Moss and Clements gone. I think Dom retires after this year. Yesterday doesn't change how bad the team was for a full calendar year. The Colts, Titans, Washington losses are damn near unexplainable after yesterday.

Something changed with this team during that stretch though. It's not like GB got miraculously healthy. It's not like the schedule got easier either. I bought into Dilfer's thinking the staff got too reliant on Aaron. But this is looking like the team that led for 56 minutes in the NFCG in Seattle

I will say this. The job MM has done holding this team together is nothing short of incredible. Everyone had the pitchforks out after that 4 game slide and wanted blood. Fans and media and possibly some of the guys in the locker room.

And as for Aaron Rodgers. He is playing possessed again. He's averaging a rating of 122 over the last 4 games and hasn't thrown a pick in over a month. He damn near completed 80% of his passes against Seattle yesterday while nearly averaging 11 yards per completion. I don't care if Earl Thomas is hurt. That's still a great secondary and AR shredded them like pork shoulder on two bad legs in 20 degree weather. In the words of warden Norton, "Its great having you back Aaron. The place just wasn't the same without you."

Except they got their Top 2 CBs back, their top TE back, actual RBs, a rust-less Jordy Nelson, a healthy Cobb, a healthy Monty, etc. It makes a big difference when you aren't fielding Gunter, Hyde, Hawkins as your top 3 CBs.

Some good news.

Jared Cook is expected to be fine after dropping out of Sunday's game against the Seahawks with a chest injury, according to a source. There's a good chance Cook will play this week against the Bears even after he sustained a lung contusion and did not return to the game. He was held out for precautionary reasons.

On offense, there has clearly been a much better rhythm with the ball coming out much faster. I'd love to see a deeper dive on this from an X's and O's guy watching All 22, but has to be some changes in play calling.

On defense, the skid and revival have both coincided with Randall suiting up. I think the guy has regressed and probably blows as many plays as he makes, but it sure looks like his presence in the secondary is felt. Definitely not crediting him with all or even most of the improvement, but has to be a factor.

My only other + I haven't seen is the increase in snaps for Elliot and the reduction for Starks.

I would not say the ball is coming out faster on offense. At least not on a regular basis. All 3 Rodgers TD passes yesterday were second, third, fourth reads with Rodgers moving around just enough to buy a little time.

You know what else was a common theme on those 3 TDs (and just about every other pass attempt yesterday)? Seattle rushing four and covering with seven. You know. The Aaron Rodgers blueprint. Cover with seven. Make him hold the ball. Frustrate him. Here is your ****ing blueprint Pete.
