Hell, I'd do it for less than a 6-figure salary, too!

No thanks, that's station is going down the tubes. Smiler

Cellini noting in the article that it was a convenient excuse to terminate their contracts early has a ring of truth to it.

As one of my friends noted, is it really that much worse than any given "Family Guy" gag?

It wasn't funny, it was tasteless, and those involved apologized immediately and yet they were still canned. A week's suspension at worst was in order if they had wanted to keep them around.

The lone good thing to come out of it was that Steak Shapiro is finally off of the sports talk airwaves. He's been horrible since the day his daddy bought the station for him, and one of the reasons he was even able to be fired because he had to sell the station to the very people that ended up firing him because he bit off more than he could chew by buying the St. Louis station.

I will miss Dimino. He's one of the best interviewers I've ever heard, and few people outside of Atlanta have ever heard of him.

No.
And considering some of the 'major' cities that have pro sport franchises, that's.....sad.

Atlanta is a transient city. Alot of people move there from other parts of the country, and they have allegiance (sp?) to their hometown sports teams. It's the same thing in Phoenix where I used to live.
