Regarding MLF comment on rbs : wear them out? you play. to. win. the. game.  minnesota? chicago? what are you saving them for LeFloor?

weird this feels like a must win game already in week 2. going 0-2 in division with a home loss to Fields and a rookie coach would really bring out the naysayers and possibly internal doubts. gotta have this one

hate to say it but we need to win comfortably. This is supposed to be a SB contender. a 17-16 nailbiter doesnt instill confidence. First play go right back deep to Watson. Bury these fools and get the train moving.

AmRodgers is pretty close to being a bust. He could be useful on a sweep. But my guess is that the defense would expect that. They did not expect that from the guys we used Sunday. Also, I hope that the team is not expecting him to fill in at RB. With only two on the roster my guess is that would be his role if one were to get hurt. Ugh.

Zero offensive snaps is a pretty good indication of where the coaching staff is.

@mattschneidman:  David Bakhtiari, Allen Lazard & Elgton Jenkins are all practicing. So are Quay Walker and Keisean Nixon, who left early Sunday with shoulder injuries.

Not practicing is Jon Runyan Jr., who’s still in concussion protocol.

UDFA rookie safety Mike Brown signed to PS.

Heading up to Mecca this weekend. Can't wait!

Packers 27 - Bores 10.

I saw Muhammad Ali there is 1972. Great experience . Will be curious to see if you enjoy it as much as I did. Will be sure to let you know how your Bears/Packers prediction works out. Safe travels!

9 (and others) may have been open a lot, but were they where they were supposed/expected to be?

We all know how Rodgers can describe (to a tee) a play from back in '09 or some such, so I'd expect when he plays it's somewhat robotic/instinctual. I also expect he knows this and knows he may need to r.e.l.a.x. a bit in this regard.

Maybe someone should slip #12 some magic mushrooms so that he can learn to love himself again.

"Practicing" can mean a lot of things...I'm not getting too excited yet.

Meanwhile, crickets on Amari Rodgers...

I agree that this one even though its only the 2nd  game does feel like a must win.  Of course there would still be 15 games left but getting in a 0-2 hole in the division right off the bat is not good.

Like I said last week I don't care if the Packers win 69-0 or 2-0 just win the damn game.

Also, is this the week Bak comes back ever for part of the game?

Not only do you not want to lose to CHI at home, and go 0-2 in the division.   TB is up next and you really don't want to start 0-3 in the conference.

This is as must-win as a WK02 game can be.

My gut tells me Bakh is done...

12 not impressed with Amari...

Neither are the coaches since Amari got zero snaps on offense.  Even Winfree who was activated from the PS got 9 snaps (and a catch).

Amari is better at returning than last year (not saying much) but Doubs was a good punt returner in college and Watson was an all-American kick returner in college as well.  Not sure why they haven't been given the opportunities on special teams.

There goes my unbridled optimism.

They see Amari as more expendable?

I thought that, but they are playing more starters on ST now.  If you're only going to use a player as a returner and nothing else, he better be Devin Hester back there.

If you look closely, that's not the leg he had the ACL on. It's the other one.

Entirely possible Bakh sustained an injury overcompensating for the one that was originally injured. That happens alot.

Am I holding my breath at this point? No.

MLF says the plan for Bakh is to practice every other day for what sounds like the rest of his career "veteran rest."

If he practices Friday, he was a chance to play Sunday I think. If not, he ain't playing. No one who misses practice Friday save 12 is playing Sunday.

To be clear, I'm referring to Lambeau Field as Mecca. No need to update me on the game.

@jasonjwilde

Per @RobDemovsky , who was at Matt LaFleur’s presser while @WildeAndTausch was still on the air, the #Packers coach said Bakhtiari "had a good practice yesterday" and there's no concern about how he was moving. LaFleur still not saying if Bakhtiari or Jenkins will play vs. #Bears.

WR blocking is a highly important aspect of this offense...Doobie was very good at that in college, and probably a reason the Packers valued him that high.

I remember reading that Doubs was a very poor blocker in college and it being a knock on him coming out in the draft. Of course, different draft "experts" may have different opinions.....

I watched Doobs many times in college...he was always an excellent blocker the times I watched him.

Draft experts also said Davantae was as too slow to be anything more than a role-playing possession type guy.
