Cincy was undefeated.  But having to play Alabama in game 1?  You don’t think Saban and his army of paid β€œassistants” wouldn’t be ready?  Only way Bearcats win is if the Tide turn it over 3-4 times and they play the game of their lives.

Still, you make Bama have to prepare and play over several weeks with injury potential and it negates their sizable advantages.  The current format just makes it easy for them or a select few others to win it all.

Based upon your continued admiration of whatever stance this young man is taking, I went back and read his tweets. I changed my mind. He’s just a whiney, entitled  tool. Pass on the scholarship if the demands it brings are so onerous. A lot of civil rights advocates fought against real injustice so this little crybaby could fuss about his privilege.

JFC. Bama could play their bottom 22 and still beat most teams.  Injury means nothing to them.  Give it up.

The collection of talent there, especially skill position talent, is ridiculous.

In the 2020 and 2021 draft alone, Alabama had 11 guys taken in the first round and 6 more in the second.

In terms of NFL players, this is the number of Alabama guys from the last 4 years that have played in the NFL.

2021 rookie class: 12

2020: 14

2019: 13

2018: 15

54 guys in the last 4 years have gone to the NFL. Basically, every guy on the 2-deep depth chart is an NFL player (with another 10 left over after that).

In 2018, the top 3 QBs on their depth chart were Jalen Hurts, Tua, and Mac Jones. While none are NFL superstars, all 3 start for teams that are 500 or better in the NFL this year. They lose 3 NFL level QBs in the last 3 years and replace them with a guy who wins the Heisman this year.

In that same timeframe, their RB depth chart was Najee Harris, Damian Harris, and Josh Jacobs. The WRs were even better (Javonta Smith, Waddle, Ruggs, Jeudy, and Ridley were all on the team at the same time at one point).

If you simply took the best players from Alabama and LSU drafts from 2017-2021 and put together a team they might not lose a game.

Take the LSU WRs and DBs and Burrow and sprinkle in Bama OL and DL and WRs and RBs and mix in a Devin White holy crap that’s insane.

QB is by far the weakest of the skill positions. WR is ridiculous enough, but the DBs would be almost two deep with Pro Bowlers.

QB: Burrow, Mac Jones, Tua, Hurts

RB: D. Harris, N. Harris, Jacobs, Fournette, Edwards-Hellaire

WR: Chasse, Jefferson, D. Smith, Ridley, Ruggs, Waddle, Jeudy,

DB: Minkah Fitzpatrick, T. Diggs, Jamaal Adams, Marlon Humphrey, Surtain, Tradavious White, Eddie Jackson, X. McKinney (Giants), plus a bunch of other high draft picks.

Glad you felt confident in your opinion without reading the tweets the first time.  I struggle to find the profound "privilege" and "entitlement" you speak off.

I do find his take on the "football players don't care like they used too" insightful.  You project that as "admiration." which is interesting.  Curious why you didn't use "he should have just complied" in your response.

I erred and should have said β€œre-read” and your bringing his so very interesting tweets to X4 makes Y.A. proud. This is truly the least interesting dialog I’ve ever had on this forum. And as a student of said forum, you know I’ve had some pretty banal interactions. You will now always have that going for you.
