The NFC title game scenario supports my point. The worst outcome is you call plays to try to score a TD and the worst outcome is that you still kick the FG on 4th down after 3 chances for the TD. Multiple times on Sunday MLF ran plays up the middle that were highly unlikely to get you much of anything.
No it doesn't Rodgers failed on 7 straight passes IIRC. And some of those were to Adams.

And they still kicked the FG on 4th down which is the same thing that would have happened had they run into the middle of the line 3 times.
