It looks like Chase Wolf is out for the season with a knee injury. That means red shirt freshman Deacon Hill is the most likely #2. Another possibility is Myles Burkett, a true freshman from Franklin, WI. Burkett was an early enrollee so he was in spring practice as well as the recently completed training camp. Badgers open with Illinois State this coming Saturday night.

Hill does appear to have some good arm talent and is a really big kid at 6 foot 3 and 251. IMHO Hill could be the key to Bucky's season since I am still not sold on Mertz.
