Potrykus has an article about Porter’s denial of eligibility. The Badgers will be relying on two Freshman as their F depth and that could be good or bad. How King steps forward as a primary scorer will probably determine their season. Davison a year removed from the surgery will hopefully get him his shooting touch back.

But I am hopeful that Davison plays more PG- they’ll get more ball movement with him controlling the point IMO.

Even tho it was an exhibition game against UW-LaCrosse the Badgers won 82-53 on Friday night. 5 Badgers scored in double figures shooting 51% from the floor. The worst downside from last year continues, 13 of 26 from FT line.

Five Badgers were in double figures, led by junior forward Nate Reuvers, who tallied 15 points, seven rebounds, and four blocks in under 25 minutes. Sophomore guard Kobe King also had a nice night, finishing with 14 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and two steals in 30 minutes.

Junior guard Brad Davison (13 points, 7 rebounds), junior forward Aleem Ford (12 points), and junior guard D'Mitrik Trice (10 points) were also in double figures for UW on Friday.

More on the Potter situation:

Despite sitting out the entire 2018-19 season after transferring to Wisconsin from Ohio State, the junior forward was denied a waiver by the NCAA to become eligible for the spring semester. Even after their appeal was denied by the NCAA in October, Gard hasn't given up hope.

"As of late this afternoon or tonight, we have requested a telephonic hearing with the legislative relief committee," Gard told reporters. "We have learned that is a part of the process now, where Micah, his representation, our institution, and the NCAA staff can all be on a phone call with the seven member committee.

"We really feel strongly that Micah should get an opportunity to state his case verbally to the committee."
