The Big Ten announced today that both teams will wear special uniforms at next Saturday’s crucial game.

The Badgers will wear uniforms designed to look like gray Wisconsin hoodies that can normally be found in the Kohl’s clearance bin. Player names will be replaces with a random selection of inspirational words. Some of these nameplates are “Proud”, “Accountable”, “Appreciate”, and “Umm”.

The Gophers will wear black uniforms with white numbers formed by alternating tiny pictures of PJ Fleck and Rowboats. All player’s nameplates will read “Fleck”.

In a related note, Minnesota has announced that the traditional “M” that usually adorns the center of TCF Bank will be replaced by the letters P and J.

This game is going to be the talker on KFAN all week. MN sports fans hate ALL Wisconsin teams, and they would love nothing more than to stick it to the Badgers 2 years in a row, even if it means getting smoked by O$U in the Big 10 championship game. Rumor is "ESPN College GameDay" will be in town for this one.

I'd like to have Paul Chryst stick the oar from the "row the boat" up Fleck's ass, but I think Minnesota is going to put up about 40 points on them.

The whole row the boat thing has to be THE dumbest catch phrase a college football coach has ever used.  I hope Chryst runs the ball 62 times for 400 yards against the Goofers.

Not to be Capt. Obvious but this one is going to come down to Coan and Bucky's defense.  The Goofers can be scored on and I expect UW to put up some points if Coan can stay away from the cranium insertion and not make stupid plays.  Defensively Bucky has to play their best game of the  year.

I have tickets to the Big Ten title game and if UW isn't there I hope OSU puts up 76 on the Goofers.

The Goofs can score points and with their quick passing game that concerns me a bit against this defense.

But you can move the ball on them so it should be a healthy dose of JT on Saturday.   The one guy to watch is Winfield in the secondary.  He is very good at baiting throws and makes a lot of plays on the ball.

Not to look ahead or anything but the winner of this one is going to get absolutely demolished against O$U.

As much as I hate to say it you are right about O$U destroying either of these teams.  That team is focused like crazy and with that talent?  look out.

I just hope if the goofers go to Indy O$U scores 80 points on them.  Just to show Fleck where he can stick his row boat.

I'm with you, that rah rah bs only lasts so long but there is no denying it is working right now.  The Gophs are a solid club. I think they are healthy and playing at home is a plus.  Should be a good ball game.

Im also with you on OSU, IMO they are the best team in the country.  They are big, fast and deep.  #2 is a monster.

I know Minnesota just extended him, but I think Fleck will be rowing his boat somewhere in the SEC or the Big 12 (or maybe FSU)  within a year or two. Arkansas, Tennessee, and FSU all need some new blood.

#2 is a freaking monster there is no doubt about that and it is going to be tough for Big Ten teams to keep up with them if they keep recruiting like they have been.

I will be in Indy for the BIG title game and I am already dreading being around all of those Goofer fans.

Gopher fans don’t know any better;  it’s not like they’ve had really good teams in recent history.

In general they are much less obnoxious and arrogant than Wolverine fans or Buckeye fans.   Fuck those teams.

I do think Fleck’s gimmicks will get old in a hurry if he isn’t winning but hey it’s working now.

Arkansas will never compete in the SEC.   Not sure why anybody would want to go there except for the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Looks like weather could be a real factor today.  If it’s windy and snowy and a slow track I think that helps the Badgers.  Coming into this game what I am concerned the most about is Minnesota’s ability to throw the ball especially downfield.  That might be impacted today by Mother Nature.

Well all the talking heads on ESPN picked MN to win.......just want them to look good.  Don’t mind losing IF the players play their guts out and leave it on the field.  Fleck will have them ready to kill Bucky.

Another reason I'm not terribly optimistic: Jack Coan.

I'd like to see a wide angle on the 3rd and 3. Minnesota probably was in a one deep safety set with 10 guys near the LOS. Coan is probably going to have to win this. I'm not confident either.

With this group of receivers and running backs we should be killing it on the offensive end. Way too much reliance on JT.

Agree. If we don't see Mertz as the starter next year, he was overhyped in HS.
