One thing I noticed was that Essegian seems to get rattled when trapped with the ball. That 5 point sequence, where Iowa tied it up, was partly due to Essegian being unable to deal with being pressured. Wahl was the other dysfunctional Badger, in that sequence, where he dives for the ball and is rolling around the floor, as Iowa steals the ball and ties the game. Our FT shooting needs a lot of work. Wahl was very inconsistent, at the line. If Bucky makes one of those missed FTs, they win in regulation. Bucky, at the line, reminded me of Ethan Happ, out there.

McCaffrey (head coach) acts like a jag at times, so it’s always good to beat that team especially at home.

Essegian is really cold blooded and reminds me a lot of Steve Novak when he played for Marquette.  He’s a difference maker on offense.

On the flip side, this team needs to clean up their act from the charity stripe.  They’ve been getting to the line around 12 times a game, but are only hitting 70% as a team.   If you take out Essigan’s 17 for 17 they are only making 2/3 of their FTs.  At some point it’s going to bite them in the ass.
