People are starting to realize this Wisconsin basketball team is on to something. They are 22 in the AP Poll and 23 in the Coaches poll. As for the BPI they are ranked 42 with a 18 Strength of Schedule and a 13 of Strength of Record. In other words a pretty good team.
Purdon't is #1 in both polls and the B1G has 6 teams total in the polls.

Good to see Wisconsin ranked as they definitely deserve it. Quality wins against Maryland and Marquette along with USC and Iowa. A really good close loss against an elite Kansas team. Honestly, I’d have them above Maryland and Illinois and maybe even Gonzaga so somewhere in 15-18 range.
How Marquette isn’t ranked I have no idea. They throttled a top 10 Baylor team, easily beat a solid ND squad and lost by a combined 11 points to UW and Miss State and Purdue.
Barring injuries I see these as two very good teams this year. The conference play will be tough, but they are both off to a good start.
Rebuilding year
Pleasantly surprised so far. Get the free throw percentage up, stay healthy and they will be ok. Gard is doing something right.
Badgers getting some more love and respect. Up to 17 in the AP and 18 in the coaches. Gain 5 spots in each poll.
Badgers move up again. Now 15 in both polls. Undefeated Purdon't remains #1 and Indiana is #16 in the AP and #18 in the Coaches. Only B1G teams ranked, altho Ohio State is #26 in the Coaches.
