Bucky has signed 19 recruits in the early signing period so far. They include 5 star OT Logan Brown and 4 star QB Graham Mertz. The complete list is in the linked article. This is by far the best class Wisconsin has ever signed. Rivals has it as the nations 23rd best while 247 Sports has it at 26th.

When theyâre throwing around terms like âgreatest class in their historyâ you worry some, but you canât deny they hit some major marks in this class. Mertz it the guy they needed most- 4 star QB and a position they must upgrade if they want to go where the program needs. But a 5 star OT and a 4 star OT? If they turn out the NFL talent like the past, they should dominate.
Keanu Benton from my hometown is one to watch... massive kid, way out classing the his competition in high school. Hope he can make the jump.
I am really intrigued by this class for Bucky. On paper this should be one of their best signings ever. Like everyone else I am really excited about Mertz. I was afraid one of the blue blood programs would poach him but he never waivered.
I know I am being Captain Obvious but UW has been needing a real QB to make the next step. Hopefully Mertz is that guy.
Not sure if everyone knew this but Mertz is enrolling early at UW. He will be eligible to participate in spring practice. And if you want to see him play you can watch him in the All-American Bowl on Jan. 5th in San Antonio at noon. The game can be seen on your local NBC affiliate.

I know him pretty well. He's a friend of my sons.
Logan is a good kid as well. He is an elite athlete - winning the state title in the shot put twice. His parents, particularly his father, really wanted him to go to U of M and one of his teammates is a 4 star DL that did go to UM, but he was set on going to UW since he went to a camp there a few years back. One of his high school teammates, Stefan Bracey, is also headed to Wisconsin next year. He's a 5'9" PR/WR type. Sub 11.0 in the 100 speed.
Showed some nice touch on 2nd and 3rd TDs, yet throw with a little zip on the 4th and 5th.
He sure got rid of the ball FAST against the blitz in td #4

It is interesting... Bart Houston ended up losing his starting spot to Alex Hornibrook (whom all want replzced), and the only other name from that class that amounted to anything was the #1 guy- Jameis Winston.
Lucky # 5...... Badger new qb recruit Graham Mertz will wear the same number he had at Blue Valley North, Kansas.
