lol. I see some things never change.

Hard to take a lot out of preseason but good grief Bolts OL looks turrible. Their LT doing a very nice Allan Babre impression

Lions look like a carbon copy of their last couple of seasons.

Defense can play dirty, but can't stop anyone. Offense is Stafford and Johnson, and little else.

Chitcago looks like I expected for the most part.

They're a bit stronger on defense than I thought they would be, and still produce the TO's. And Cutler is....still Cutler.

Incidentally, I saw a story on NFL.com that raises the possibility of Cutler getting a $20M/yr contract. Please, Bears...do it!!!

Rivers is another whiny bitch who isn't nearly as good as some believe he is.

I've been saying that for at least two years already.

Bostic shoulda got a personal foul on that tackle - it was way too hard...  right Roger?

I got free tickets through work and it was 72 degrees, so I made my way to the spaceship for the first half. I'll say Jay was Jay, Chicago's running game and D Line showed signs of life, but the Chargers may very well be in Clowney Sweepstakes this year.

I used to look forward to the Broncos - Chargers games every year when Cutler was still in Denver. Rivers and Cutler hate each other. Loved watching those two yapping at each other to the point a slap fight nearly broke out.

As much as we all love to laugh at Cutler, I think we're forgetting just how funny the Bears QB situation was before him. Jay Jay is junk, but he at least gives the Bears a shot at a playoff berth. My personal hope is that Jay Jay will have a particularly bad season, causing Trestman to decide to jettison him in order to find "his guy". Since "his guy" will likely stink to high heaven, the Bears can get back to the Peter Tom Willis/Rick Mirer/Steve Stenstrom/Moses Moreno/Cade McNown/Shane Matthews/Henry Burris/Kordell Stewart/Jonathan Quinn/Craig Krenzel/Chad Hutchinson/Rex Grossman 4-12 goodness.

From ESPN:

Locked on Marshall: Cutler completed four of five passes with a touchdown and an interception in limited action with a passer rating of 98.3. On the surface, those numbers look respectable. But it seems a tad concerning that every one of Cutler's throws against the Chargers traveled Marshall's direction.

Kyle Long is an absolute beast. For those that watched that game, you know what I'm talking about. Fluid, aggressive, no mistakes/penalties, beating up LBs 10 yards down the field. And he helped up every player and was the first to congradulate everyone. Not an exaggeration.

Pro Bowler for sure. If you don't believe me, watch the game. Holy cow.

Easy there tiger, you're just excited because you just saw a Bear OL actually block somebody, something you haven't seen since like '86.

Just wait till y'all finally get a QB, you'll pee down your leg with excitement.

Looking forward to it.

Anything that pushes the queens down the ladder is fine with me!

The bears are more desirable rivals.

LOL, probably true!

Umm....it's:

-preseason;

-a meaningless game (for the most part);

-a game in which both sides of the ball are usually vanilla in schemes;

-the Chargers D probably not stunting, blitzing much, etc;

-limited tape on both rookies on the o-line for D to prepare for/scheme against weaknesses/tendencies;

-an awful Chargers team;

-1/2 of a {preseason} game.

I predict he plays worse before getting better.

All that said, I'd rather have my players/draft picks do well in a meaningless game against a sh!tty team than play poorly under the same circumstances.  But I'd save the ProBowl talk for a few more snaps.

Sorry Dude, I missed your question.  The kick I saw was from Akers.
