I'm not one of the people that think Benson will be missed a ton. He had a couple of nice runs, but nothin Green and Starks can't do. What this offense needs to do is start playing the real west coast offense they used to. Throw some short passes and let the receivers make plays. If they start doing that enough, the deep passes will come and so will the running game.

I think Lang's comments after the game about becoming predictable and not being able to do s**t is probably frustration in the underlying message.
We don't trust our back up RB's or the line to salt this game away so we're putting the ball in the air.
MM knows his team as well as any coach but I think he read this one wrong. He should have let his o-line lean on Indy for the majority of the 3rd quarter and adjusted from there.
I want to see Green get 20 plus carries against Houston. He's ready for this.

I don't know if Green is ready, but there is no reason for them to not try and find out Sunday night.
Whisper Goodman!
Just kidding. They'll go with the three we have unless one or more of them go down with an injury.

...I would have liked to see us come out as we did in second half vs. Seahawks. I set formation.
Green and Saine are not the answer, imho. It's Starks or start looking at people on other teams' practice squads, or for a vet who's not employed but still has a little gas in the tank.

Why do you feel that way? Starks isn't exactly a speed demon and isn't much of a pass catcher that I can remember. Guy is always hurt. Green ripped of a 41 yard run the last game. I also think no other back has had much practice with the 1st team offense due to Benson still trying to learn. Green looks like he can at least fake a defender.
I prefer Green to Starks
I prefer Green to Starks
I prefer blondes.

What the ****..I was about to eat dinner.
I prefer Porters to Blondes
I prefer Green to Starks as well. Unless he proves to be totally inept I'd like to see him get the majority of the carries.
Pretty sure the coaching staff already made this decision.
the coaching staff are morons

Is that Gerry like "Jerry" or Gerry like "Gary"?
Yerry Ellis. It's a soft J. Like Finley's routes.
I've always liked Starks explosiveness and how physical he CAN be. Seems to ussually lean forward at the end of the run. That being said, I don't trust him picking up the blitz and he is nowhere near the cagey, patient veteran that Benson is. Benson seems to find yards even when there doesn't appear to be any.

Benson was averaging 3.5 ypc.. Kuhn avg 3.3ypc in 2010 when he had to play HB.
Sorry, but we really wasn't doing anything impressive in my opinion.
The question / deciding factor on Starks might be has he figured out the pass protection calls? I'm sure AR doesn't want him whiffing on any blitz pick-ups.

I liked the screen pass, and saw potential there, but essentially I agree with you.
Good stat Brainded. I would have never guessed that.

Be 100% honest.
You'd hit that version.

NO!!!!
I know I would!.....With my truck!
Green hasn't even had a chance to prove himself at all, especially as a starter. Give the kid a few games to see if he can handle the load before we throw him under a bus.

Agree in general but he has looked lost in pre-season and last week as well and this team needs a F N win NOW!
Personally.
I love it when people get thrown under buses.

As long as it's not under the tires, I'm good.

hell yeah i'd hit it! what a great story for the grandkids. "and then there was this time i f***ed the secretary of state..."
Him and Charles Grodin.
RB Cedric Benson has been placed on injured reserve with designation to return
I guess that creates a spot for Sherrod in a few weeks.
Or Quarless... not sure who is further along. They also have Zombo on PUP I think.
Tough call.. I would have to think it would be Sherrod if they are both healthy. We are thin on the line already and have depth at TE.
