In 7th grade, Connie Baron let me neck with her on the front steps of her house. I later found out it was only because she lived accross the street from Steve Zarr and had a crush on him and was trying to make him jealous. Is this something similar?

That probably wasn't necking and she was hoping to get rescued.

Oh it was necking alright----she held her gum in her hand until we finished.

You've just brought me back to the 7th grade with that memory.

Dark movie theater...
Major necking session...
Gum firmly in hand...

Too funny how times have changed. My daughter is in 8th grade and the thought of her kissing boys (and them in turn kissing her) has me freaked. As a former boy, I know what's on their minds.

P.S. As far as I know, she remains un-kissed.

Yeah, tell me about it. I've got a son in 7th grade who just turned 13 and I'm getting kind of freaked. He's not NEARLY old enough to do the things I remember doing when I was that age!

PS - The parents are always the last to know.
