Theyāre trying to get DD into the flow, but on the other end they give up 4/6 threes. DD has gotten the ball on every possession. Kanter is not a defender, but he has offensive game snd can o-rebound. Bucks need to be solid on the defensive glass.
Bucks offense has been outstanding. Enough to offset some deficiencies on defense so far.

Well, they needed that. Starters got 4th quarter off. Wed at home versus IND and then 6 on the road, with a BTB Friday/Saturday and then a trip out west for three tough ones against DEN, PHX, and Utah.

I think it's to the point where they have to flip the roles of DDV and Forbes. Forbes is hitting 44% from 3 and if you are going to play him you might as well maximize the amount of time he is on the floor with Giannis, Middleton, and Holiday as it's the best chance to hide his defensive deficiencies.
DDV is a much better individual defender and it's a better fit for him to put him in the mix with the second unit to reduce the minutes that you are playing Forbes and Augustin together.
Itās actually a decent idea. DD off the bench might take some pressure off him. Forbes getting good looks as a starter can also protect him defensively.

I had actually suggested this idea a while back of flipping Forbes and DDV. Forbes is a complete liability on D, but heās worse bringing him off the bench with guys like Augustin who also doesnāt play defense.
Last night we saw the best and worst of Bobby Portis.
GOOD: He can score inside and out. Knows the offensive game, good cutter, pretty good iso game, good finisher around the rim.
BAD: he a terrible rim defender and an average at best rebounder. His shorter than expected arms allow longer guys to get their hands on rebounds and tip the ball away... a LOT.
Heās a nice boost off the bench offensively, but they may want to kick the tires on rim defense sooner rather than later. Otherwise that second unit is just weak all the way around defensively.
Well, maybe they need to bring Lopez off the bench. Portis plays the 4, Giannis the 5. Thatās some pretty stunning numbers, even in a limited sample...
