I heard the vikings coach say that they had beds/ bunks set up in the plane for the players to help fight jet lag and time differences. I'm not sure how that would work, though.

For those that haven't tried Shepherd's Pie, I certainly recommend it.
Like some foods, there are some more traditional recipes that can be an acquired taste (lamb and/or other animal 'body parts'), but the recipes made with beef are quite good.

Oh there's a handful of tasty English foods...but as is most cases, it all comes down to the preparations.

If done correctly, savoury pies are excellent. Only pie I couldn't get used to was the eel ones. That is some fucking foul shit.

Although not English, haggis is also not nearly as bad as it sounds...it's basically like a sausage. Black pudding on the other hand...you gotta not mind the irony taste from the blood...which full disclosure I was traumatized as a child being forced to consume blutwurst from my German grandmother.

Rather ironically, the UK is becoming a facsimile of the USA in terms of food choices...those pasty fuckers have taken to American franchises like fish to water. The same shit franchises that rule the roost in Merica for some unknown reason, Dominos, Pizza Hut, KFC, etc. are way popular over there. You can get Krispy Kreme in every Tesco (massive chain grocery store)...10 years ago, you couldn't find an American donut in the UK.

Brits queued up (lined up) for 12+ hours to get chicken sandwiches when the first Popeye's opened in London last year.

Not coincidentally, the UK has seen a massive rise in statin prescriptions...we specialize in the export of heart disease and big pharma!

U-S-A!!! U-S-A!!! U-S-A!!!

That started to happen when I was stationed over there 30 years ago.  I have a horror story about their KFC back then.  Well one fine drunken evening we saw a sign for  KFC and since we hadn't had it in a little while we stopped.  Well back then the Brits fed their chicken fish meal.   So the chicken tasted like you guessed it phucking fish.

But I give them props for their beer and scotch.  Love a good english bitter ale.

@AdamSchefter:  With Daniel Jones (ankle) and Tyrod Taylor (concussion) both injured, Giants are working out QBs today, including Jake Fromm, who spent time with the team last season.

@MikeGarafalo:  Among the QBs working out for the #Giants today is A.J. McCarron, sources say. He was with the #Bills in 2018, so there’s your Brian Daboll/Joe Schoen connection.

Agree. These are the things Barry needs to take notice of, then adjust to.

I've seen that more than several times. Tackles like that, not the film.

β€œ @zackkruse2:   New #Packers LB Eric Wilson's special teams grades at @PFF during his 4 years with the Vikings:

2017: 90.2 (3rd best in NFL)
2018: 78.9
2019: 77.5
2020: 90.0 (9th best)

Brian Gutekunst is stockpiling special teams studs”

That’s nice. But I kinda hope he can fill in some at MLB. Quay is still learning and seems a bit hesitant at times. I believe that Barnes is on IR?

To quote McCarthy, we'll get that fixed:

Barry is from Colorado..."Denver Macho" just doesn't have the same ring to it...

It’s coming

@itszacharyj:  Aaron Rodgers on @PatMcAfeeShow said that there were times when a rookie Davante Adams wasn’t getting a ton of targets but he was consistently getting open. β€œYou’re thinking, β€˜Man, this guy is open. Often.’ It’s like that from time to time with Christian [Watson].”

My first roundabout was in our rental car in Shannon Ireland.  We just got our rented car from the lot at the Shannon airport and yikes the steering wheel is on the opposite side of the car!!!!!  Then about 2 miles from the airport a roundabout!!!!!  So we’re in a car with the steering wheel on the opposite side of the car AND a roundabout.   Needless to say we found the first pub, stopped the car and stayed for the night in a B & B, drank a couple of room temperature Guinness and left the next day.  Whew........

Similar experience but flew into Dublin and out of Shannon a week later.  After a week driving I finally got somewhat used to sitting and driving opposite.  Always had to really remember to pay attention when turning right.
