85 and still in the front row!!!

Ha ha, loved that advertisement......when my husband and I bought our “resting sites” we got the front row, and that is exactly what we both said, we must be in the front row.  We laughed.....

Got to sit with Uecker in the broadcast booth while he did the 2nd game of the season at Wrigley against the Cubs in 2008.  Watched and listened from about the 5th or 6th inning until the game finished.  You think he's fun to listen to on the air?  You should hear him off the air.  Hilarious.  And quite the "trucker's mouth".

It was freezing cold and the Cubs got killed.  But (as a Cubs fan) it was a game I'll not forget.  What a treat!

Happy Birthday Mr. Baseball!!!

As I've said before, if they ever win a World Series I will use Uecker's call of the last out as my ringtone for the rest of my life. The best non-playoff related Uecker call I remember was 40 years ago when Cecil Cooper hit three home runs to beat the Yankees and the third one was a walkoff that Uecker went crazy on. This game featured a bench-clearing brawl between Mike Caldwell and Reggie Jackson.

.Still one of the greatest scenes of all time
