@TyDunne: With Jones limited, signs point to Jamari Lattimore starting again on Sunday http://t.co/JtLFfyB5zV
I'll take Lattimore every day and two of him is better than AJ and BJ. He's within striking distance when a guy does catch a pass in his area, has closing speed. I don't see what's not to like but I lose track of deep coverage when it comes to LBs.
agreed, he's too late and doesn't hold any contain.
I don't give a rip how healthy BJ will get. He's a liability and doesn't belong on the field. End of story. He needs to stay on the sidelines.
Lattimore while not perfect has done much better.
"Once Brad gets back and is healthy, I think it will give us more flexibility," Capers said. "I like what Jamari's done. He gives us another athlete. We'll see where Brad is from a health standpoint. He's practiced the last couple days."
More ways for the defense to suck?quote:"Once Brad gets back and is healthy, I think it will give us more flexibility," Capers said.
Don't really have a problem with Jones in passing situations, but overall Lattimore is the better player and needs to see the field.
Maybe he should stand closer to the field if he needs to see it. Quit hanging out by the bench.
Maybe Capers just means having Jones back in dime, taking AJ's place. Not sure if that's an improvement or not...
Coach speak.
If anything, Jones could work his way back into a rotation or package(s) and maybe STs. Best case, he heals fast enough to be solid depth. That would be his 'flexibility'.
Otherwise, an older, slower LB working his way back from yet another injury has little to offer.
