Hopefully
Well, the Brewers are going to have to score a run at some point anyway.
So we gotta score 2 again.
3
Woodruff now getting shelled. Down 2-0 after three hard-hit balls in a row.
Woodruff got hit hard, but if the Brewers good defense, Freeman is out easily at the plate.
Urias with a nice play to end the inning, though.
Urias saved the inning from being a blowout.
Need some hits
Fried is getting a lot of borderline calls. He's good enough without the help.

The Brewers have an outstanding pitching staff and a bunch of decent hitters with power. They have multiple guys you have to be carry with but the problem is they don't have that one guy that scares you at the plate every time he's up. Freeman is that guy for the Braves. Yelich was supposed to be that guy for the Brewers. Adames is good, but he doesn't scare you the way 2018-19 Yelich did.
Brewers need to keep it close and get to the ATL bullpen
They have to get Fried to keep throwing pitches.
This fucking ump calling everything for him
What a shit at bat for Escobar.
Yelich swings at a pitch that was at least a foot inside.
Yelich with a horrible at-bat as well.
Big knockerβ¦not
The Brewers batters need to know this pitcher will lead with off speed and then throw slider or gas after that. Just not good at bats.
So far, the Brewers are 7 for 42 with 1 extra base hit. 2 walks and one HBP.
238 SLG, 222 OBP, 460 OPS
For perspective, Keston Hiura's OPS this year was 557
One hard-hit ball for a hit all series. They are lucky their pitching is so good.
Fried is cruising right now. Have to find a way to get him off balance or bust up his rhythm.
Woodruff is not getting the calls Fried is.
The ump is pretty consistent
Freeman is really, really good.
Feels like they are down 200-0.
So I'm watching the game on TBS via Roko. Looked at ESPN Gamecast and the TBS telecast is about 30 seconds behind what ESPN posts. What the HELL???
Next to the Brewers I follow the Braves. Loved those 90s teams. Freeman is as good of a hitter as any of them. Chipper Jones was good but Freeman might be better.
@Pikes Peak posted:The ump is pretty consistent
I don't think the umpiring is poor and it may be more than Woodruff doesn't get the calls against Freeman that Fried gets against basically any Brewer hitter.

Lotta lag on streaming and Satellite....I used to be 45 seconds behind real time on Direct TV Packer games.
Do you think Orlando Arcia directly attributes the Brewers offensive woes to them trading him?
The Brewers might not score 3 runs the rest of this game and all of the next.
4 runs looks insurmountable right now
Woodruff is a top 10 starting pitcher in baseball, but he always seems to be in games where he pitches just good enough to lose.
In the last 2 years, despite having an ERA under 3 and a WHIP well under 1, he's 12-15.

After what seemed like 45 years of developing fairly good position players, but struggling to develop pitchers, they've completely flipped the script. Arcia is just one of several the last 5 years.
No support
Letβs get him in
Escobar just pathetic at the plate
The Brewers bats need to wake the fuck up. They need to shorten this series because if they have to face Morton and Fried again it could get tricky

Not at all. Urias and now Adames are much better players in all aspects. Batting average, power and defense.
I have no idea why ATL isnβt sticking with Fried. He only has like 80 pitches.
