Game 4 is Tuesday. If the Brewers win Game 3, I think you hold off with Burnes until Game 5 and go with Lauer in Game 4.
If the Brewers lose Game 3, do you go with Burnes on 3 days rest for Game 4 and (hopefully) Woodruff on 4 days rest for Game 5?

Just looked and Narvaez had a 434 OPS against lefties, so you have to go with Maile there.

I go Burnes in game 4 regardless. I would want to end it and get Burnes more rest before NLCS should you win.
You can bring back Warren Spahn and Sandy Koufax but you still need hits, especially clutch hits.
17 innings of offense for the Crew and only one swing has plated runs. Can't get much worse.
Here's hoping they eat their Wheaties Monday
I would also go with Burnes in game 4. Lauer is a bit more up and down and itâs either a close out game or a game they have to win to keep playing.
Morton and Fried against this lineup are going to make it very difficult to get hits and runs. The ATL bullpen is where they can flip the script.
No other thread for this but a great game tonight in BostonâĶOctober baseball, you canât beat it.
Offense wakes up on the road!
It's all I got right now...
Nothing says least desirable playoff series like a noon start on a Monday.

Yelli is very consistent

Yes. Completely overmatched. He struck out on a breaking ball that was at least 6 inches low. At this point, if he was a free agent in the offseason, he'd be looking at like 2 years and 10 million. Instead, he is about to begin a 7 year, 186 million dollar extension.

They don't have the offensive talent right now (outside of maybe Adames right now). If they win, it's likely to be another 2-1 nailbiter.
To extend what others have pointed out, the Brewers have now made 60 outs in the series and have generated runs on one swing.
Wow, dumb baserunning.

Half-ass running from 3rd as well saves the Brewers a run. Usually those things come back to haunt you. Good omen if you are the Brewers.
Maybe that outfield assist will get Yelich going. Nice opposite-field hit on his next at-bat. Still no power, but the Brewers need baserunners and he's gotten on with one out.
Brewers offense is obviously inept right now. Anderson is a good pitcher, but he may not even be a starter if he was on the Brewers this year. He's not a guy that should dominate you like this.
The Brewers offense is making B-level guys look like Hall of Famers.
Just frustrating that after all the times over the last 4 decades that the Brewers were loaded on offense and didn't have enough pitching to get over the hump (81-82, 92, 08-11), they finally get the best pitching they ever have and end up with just an anemic offensive attack.
Offense is still offensive
Bats arenât giving our pitchers any margin for error. Ian Anderson is a solid pitcher but Milwaukee is making him look a lot better than he is.
Only hope right now is they stay close and pull Anderson. Heâs at 63 pitches through 4 innings.
Looked like that Narvaez play could have been a fair ball, but the Brewers don't get the call. Later on in the same at-bat, Cain almost makes a circus catch and they end up with a triple.
Even worse, Cain is now hurt and we may end up with JBJ Jr. getting at-bats the rest of the series?
If JBJ offered more than a low-level pitcher hitting at the plate, Cain probably comes out right now.
If Jethroe Tull relieves Ian Anderson maybe weâll get some hits.
(Sorrry)
Brewers best offense in the series has been to get grazed by inside pitches.
This is the most offensive excitement of any Brewer inning this series.
2nd and 3rd, no out. You HAVE to get at least one run here.
Surprised they didn't walk Cain but it worked out.
And the designated walker is up for Peralta.
Peralta gets pulled after 57 pitches and 4 innings. 1 out and guys at 2nd and 3rd.
Really do not like this move. Peralta was dealing and how you have cover 5 innings.
I'm not a fan of the move either, but if the offense wasn't so inept he could bat for himself here. Tough to fault CC here but hope it pays off.
pulled Peralta for nothing. this is frustrating
Well that sucked.
Just inept.
Really questionable decision by CC to remove Peralta. It's like a gut punch.
The Brewers have been terrible on offense, but even when they do hit the ball hard (Cain and Wong), they can't catch a break.

I'd get it with 2 outs, but you still have a shot if he strikes out with runners on 2nd and 3rd and you get to use him for another 2 innings, minimum. Lauer is a decent guy in this role, but he's not at the level of Peralta. Absolutely hated the move.

Sorry, Houser not Lauer.
And now you basically have no choice but to come back with Burnes on 3 days rest tomorrow.
If the plan is to go Burnes in game 4 then it's not that big of a deal to pull Peralta.
CC may have just lost the series for the Brewers with that Peralta move. The Braves hitters must have been jubilant to know they were even in the series with Burnes, Woodruff, and Peralta done on their regular rest.
Is Joc wearing pearls?
