Crew wins 6-2. Feyerisen strikes out 2 of 3 in the 7th, Williams strikes out the side in the 8th and Hader follows suit in the 9th. Of the 27 Marlin outs 18 were by Ks.
Off the schnide.
Every team has stretches like this.
Win tomorrow, win the series.
Good to see them snap out of it. Such and interesting team, there will be another stretch or two three but with our pitching I don’t think I they will be much more than what we just saw. Offensively, if just could get heathy and preferred 8 out there on regular basis they will be just fine. Hiura is the only long term concern I have. He’s been healthy from what I understand but just not what we saw that rookie year. Got to get him straighten out.
Money today. Nice righting of the ship.
Hader with the win, 2 more Ks in the 9th. Vogelbach with his 3rd homer in the 4th. Bullpen has been nothing short of outstanding.
If you were to guess which of 10 random guys ended up being the guy hurt all the time, I guess I should have known it would be the player the team ponied up the most money for. Never would have imagined CY to be the always injured guy, but jeeze what a gut punch. Second pretties swing in baseball and he has to be hurt.
Just think how rested he will be come playoff push time.
I hope so
I third that Ammo
Kinda sad, really... not a lot of movement from about ‘90-‘07...
Another business-mans special at American Family Field today, Brewers vs Cards LIVE and free on YOUTUBE.
J. Flaherty vs C.Burns, bottom 4 Redbirds up 1-0
Peralta/Woodruff/Burnes in this series:
19.2 IP, 10H, 2 ER, 3BB, 27K
Those #'s could end up losing the series 2-1.
They need to get the offense on track.
Ugh, they really really need to find some offense.
I believe the other day 1/15 with Runners in scoring position stranding 12 LOB.
nice to see some bats alive today, the pitching has been so good.
I just want to mention the outstanding defense we have seen in Milwaukee for the last dozen years. I know JBJ has an OPS under .600, but I am discussing the majesty of the leather right now.
