Took the youngest daughter to the game. They started slow, but Lopez and then Middleton started heating up and they built a 20 pt lead until the refs decided they wanted input as the Nets were +20 in free throw attempts.  Mind boggling.  A couple of calls in the 4Q were particularly obvious and atrocious.

The Nets are a pesky team that plays junk basketball.  Kind of reminded me of the Pistons style from 10-12 years ago.  Set a lot of moving screens and play “good defense” aka hack and grab.   That’s Carroll’s entire game.  That and get rough with Giannis.  Too bad it didn’t work.

The good news is the Bucks held their ground and came alive late because the zebras gave NJ a window and Milwaukee slammed it shut.

25-10 best record in the NBA.  When is the last time you heard that mentioned with the Bucks?  30+ years ago?

This is snowballing now... they shot great, but they shared the ball really well and they overpowered them inside.

But this picture says so much about the greatness of #34...

My only minor complaint is Thon Maker.  His defense is atrocious and you have Christian Wood sitting there not getting any playing time.  DJ Wilson has earned more minutes (rightfully so) but #7 just doesn’t seem to have a good feel for the game.  Perhaps that will get better over time but he’s not one of their 7-8 best players right now.

YWood has made it known how he feels about playing in Oshkosh right now. Maker is woefully inconsistent, and that’s really why they should be sending him to Oshkosh instead.

But Wood isn’t getting better in the G league... he needs to play with Lopez and Giannis and learn how to play 21st century 5.

New Jersey made their runs when Maker was in the game.  He might be able to block a shot or two, but he doesn’t rebound well and he’s a fouling machine.  For me, unless he’s hitting 3 pointers consistently you can’t have him out there because he’s such a defensive liability.
