Tough BTB but this is stretch time. A 3 game lead has value.

Bledsoe with 9 of the Bucks 11 points to start... attacking the Spurs young Gs...
So far so good, but this scheduling is ridiculous. Not getting to bed before 5 AM before a 8 PM game because you have to travel after a late night game is not optimal.
The Spurs know the second unit is the key... they can attack them. Middleton has hit a couple early, so if that holds they wonβt gain when Giannis is on the bench.
Middleton drives me ****ing crazy... heβs thrown the ball away 2 times already on plays that had no chance of succeeding. Itβs just stupid basketball...
Lotta respect for Gasol... but he canβt guard Aldridge. Letβs end that now. Give that assignment to Lopez, backed up by DJW...

The one was a decent chance at a lob to Giannis. The other was a full court baseball pass you'd probably bench a high school player for trying.
Giannis has made an nice adjustment to his spin/drives, keeping the ball high so it wonβt be swiped at.
Theyβre gassed... need to get some fresh energy in there...
Middleton continues to miss short shots and get roasted on penetration by DeRozan.

Crappy scheduling by the NBA.
Middleton with another turnover
Giannis can't get a call either
Brogdon really struggling too. -17 in 19 minutes
Slipping away...
This one is about to get away from them. Brogdon with another wide open 3 miss that leads to a transition 3 on the other end. 6 point swing
Really getting away from them. Giannis comes back in and doesn't touch the ball the first few possessions.
Youβre not going to get away with that lineup, Buds... Gasol has nothing to offer, and Brogdon has nothing tonight either. Bledsoe/Divincenzo might be your best backcourt tonight.
Is Gasol trying to make sure his old team makes the playoffs? He's -25 in 14 minutes. Brogdon -23 in 20.
And yes... Giannis should touch the ball almost every possession until someone makes a shot. Run the game through your star...
Poertl is just banging away in there and getting away with it...
No points yet in the 4th...
Brogdon 2-10. Mostly wide open looks
4+ minutes before they scored their first basket.
Out of gas. Spurs have some energy for this period, the Bucks donβt.
46-26 so far in the second half...
Game got away because they played Gasol way too long
All their misses are front rim...
This one is over
Need stops...

Bud blew it tonight on this. DJ Wilson should have gotten a few minutes. Gasol is a 5 minute a game wild card in the playoffs. If he still had it, he'd still be on the Spurs.
Get Giannis out.
Theyβre just going the P&R Derozen and Aldridge the rest of the game. Itβs over...
No stops in the 4th quarter...
Gasol -25 in 14 minutes
Bucks +14 in the other 31 minutes
Is Irsan hurt? Why not him for at least a few minutes?
Middleton - two possessions in a row.
Get it to Giannis.
Spurs thanking Gasol for his biggest contribution to their team all year.
He was absolutely terrible and somehow he played 15 minutes.
50-17... lost 3 of 4.
2 more road games TUE and FRI, then home for the Sixers on Sunday.
Down to a 2 game lead.
Tuesday against New Orleans is big. The schedule has been tough, but the Bucks have now lost 3 of their last 5.
And Toronto has Cleveland, Lakers, Piston, and Knicks the next 4. They are likely to go 4-0 in that stretch.
Pau looked washed up. What was with Brogdon?
Spurs were well rested and Bucks weren't. Oh well. Got to finish. This thing !!
Bucks backcourt:
- Bledsoe: 9-13
- Brogdon: 2-10
- Middleton: 6-15
- Connaughton: 5-5
- Divincenzo: 1-5
- Snell: 2-4
While they need Hill and Brown back, two starters went 8-25. The rest were 17-27, including Bledsoe who barely had opportunities in the second half after a hot start. Derozen meanwhile continues to eat the Bucks lunch, and why Buds had Gasol guarding Aldridge is a complete ****ing mystery. Wilson DNP. Ilyasova DNP. Why not give them some minutes, try to stem the tide? 67 second half points??? After Aldridge and Derozen torched you in the first half and that all they had?
Maybe Buds figured they would rest some of those guys given the back to back, who knows. I just think itβs a major competitive disadvantage to have a team like Milwaukee have to go on the road less than 24hrs and play a rested San Antonio team. Even if you play well thatβs pretty much a guaranteed loss. I know the league has cut down on the back to backs but at least make it where you do it home and home or if away make it close, like Chicago or Minnesota or Indiana or Detroit
Bat gate!

Yes. The Bucks have lost three of these BTB games on the road in the last two months - two of them to teams they would beat 7 to 9 of 10 times if they played with equal rest (Phoenix and Miami).
With the exception of Gasol, I think Bud managed the game well last night. Playing Gasol for 15 minutes was a major mistake with DJ Wilson and Ilyasova not playing at all. Aldridge is a tough guy to cover, but Gasol had no chance - at least those other two might have been more of a challenge (especially compared to Gasol who Aldridge has played in practice for years).
They have another one next week...
