Whoa...
Oh good fucking grief...
What a fucking joke. I hate to say it, but female ref called it.
Thatβs how they ended the game? Loooool! NBA refs!
βI donβt want this shit to go to double OT, Iβm going to imagine contact and get the fuck outa Dodge...β
It looked like Tucker got him on the elbow. I didn't think so at first, but one of those replays it looked like a good call.
Anyways, honestly, I don't even care that they lost. Just watching the Bucks butcher so many possessions towards the end of regulation just shows me that this team has a very slim chance of doing anything come playoff time. I think we are seeing the final days of Bud as Bucks coach. It sucks because I loved what he did the first 1 3/4 years he was coach, but from the bubble onwards, this team has definitely dropped a notch even though they have the talent to be something better than they currently are.
How do you make that call at the end of OT?
Easy... you want to go home. Itβs a shame such a good basketball game was marred by such a shit call.
But the reality is that they lost again. They blew another lead by making questionable choices down the stretch, being unable to execute, and Giannis got hurt again. This team wonβt go as far as they should because they take really dumb shots. They donβt play smart basketball. And they fall down in the clutch instead of getting off a good look.
They reported Giannis had leg cramps and didnβt want to risk further injury.
The foul was sketchy at best and itβs astounding to me how you make that call on the home team. Holiday thought the game was over, and Tucker looked exasperated. Itβs one thing if Booker was driving to the hoop but he was out of control and the refs bailed him out big time. Pathetic.
Still, I donβt understand the last possession before OT. You run an iso play with Giannis at the top of the key? Cmon Bud. Middleton had the hot hand or get it to the goddamn point guard (Holiday) to make a play. The game should never have gone to OT.
Giannis is so much more dangerous from the wing than the top... but hey, if it doesnβt ever work, keep fuckinβ doin it, Bud...

They lost the lead by going to Giannis in the halfcourt multiple times in the middle of the 4th. There were turnovers, rushed shots at the end of the shotclock when Giannis couldn't get to the rim but spent a lot of time trying before passing out, etc. The only field goal he had over that stretch was a really tough 5 foot shot he had to force over Ayton.
Bud needs to commit to Holiday initiating the offense in those moments and stick with it. I get using Giannis when Eric Bledsoe is your point guard, but this is the main reason you traded for Holiday.
I donβt know why you donβt run Middleton/Holiday high P&R with Giannis in the dunker spot and moving around. You pick your poison- chase Holiday on the drive, Middleton is open, you hedge too much Holiday gets by you snd Giannis is there to exploit the help, or you get Holiday one on one all the way to the rim.
If any extra help comes, you get that rotation and an open look for available shooters.
