Well, another bloodying of Nebraska’s nose. I’d love to know if any team the FBS has ever run for as much as the Badgers have run for against that program.

Taylor is special. He sees everything. He has such a sneaky burst. He makes Shaw, who I was excited about, look pedestrian. Taylor is on Barkley’s talent level, IMO. He’s a true freshman??? He’s going to ya e his name on the facade of Camp Randall when it’s over.

Defense was a lot like last week- bend but don’t break, force turnovers, make the other team earn it. Pass rush came on the second half, secondary looks better each week.

The program has done better than OK - UW is an established top 20 program and has been for almost 25 years now. They've cracked the top 10 several times.

The problem is the QB position is and has prevented them from becoming a legit NC contender.  They had it one year with Russell Wilson.  That's it.

The good news is Chryst will find a way to extract the most out of what they have but it does get a little frustrating at times.  If not for Taylor I'm not sure Hornibrook would have gotten them the W.   Thankfully that wasn't the case as the running game took over and helped them get a tough win.

The announcers were going on and on about how Hornibrook was never throwing more than 10 yards downfield.

The problem is nobody's going to remember you for being ranked but never close to a national championship.  Unless they remember you for bad things like the second half of the B1G championship game last year.

Penn State sure looks like the team to beat in the Big Ten.  Their team speed and athleticism is right there with O$U.  The next three weeks are tough for sure.

The only thing separating Wisconsin from the Bucks and Nitt Lions is the QB play.  Hornibrook has been wildly inconsistent and with that running game they don't need him to be Dan Marino but he has to play better than the last two weeks.

I just do t think he has the arm. I don’t remember Bevell having a cannon, but he could throw downfield. Hornibrook just does not have the arm strength. A lot of college QBs have a similar problem- they throw too late. But if their arm is strong, they get away with it. Hornibrook seems to throw late a lot- but he doesn’t have the strength to compensate.

He looked great at BYU- but that’s the only game I think he’s been good. With Clemson and WSU losing last night, the path is wide open. I just don’t know if I believe in Hornibrook in a ”if they stack to take Taylor out of the game can he beat them” kind of way.

And El asked about Peavy- what in the world has happened to him. He seems lost- drops, fumbles, doesn’t seem to get open anymore. Cephus and Davis seem to have passed him. Is he hurt?
