Let the new season begin!
I have no special expectations for the team this year, so I am looking forward to seeing the new group of kids. Of course there's still Jonathan Taylor so there's that, but lots of new faces on D this year.
It's very hot and humid in Tampa tonight so hopefully the kids are hydrated!

Sorry- that’s exactly what I was afraid of with Coan. Cephus wide open, should have been 6. You spend two series setting up that play call, and the ****ing QB overthrows it by 5 yards. Not even a chance.

It’s embarrassing... top program won’t play their 4 star freshman so they can watch their redshirt junior miss open receivers all game long.
Unfortunately this badger team and coaching staff are far too conservative to be changing QBs this early.

Well this is preseason for college, hopefully they get the kid some snaps. We need that nice lead for it to happen though...

It's possible that Mertz was overhyped and needs more time to develop. Most of us have no idea how he looked in practice.
If Mertz was clearly better in practice and Christ decided to play Coan because he was the veteran, it sends a message that the process was more important than putting the best team on the field.
