How many cuts left?
Little surprised by Rolls being cut. I'm guessing the versatility of Hyde and Bush made him expendable and that secondary roster spot goes to another position. Can't see them keeping Good son.. Maybe 3 QB's?
I think this is the latest list:
Cuts
CB Ryan White
RB Michael Hill
RB LaDarius Perkins
OT John Fullington
OL Jordan McCray
ILB Jake Doughty
WR Alex Gillett
S Tanner Miller
CB Jumal Rolle
S Chris Banjo
DE Carlos Gray
WR Myles White
OLB Adrian Hubbard
WR Kevin Dorsy
IR likely
LB Nate Palmer
That's 15 players... 7 to go?
I like keeping both backup QBs.
I do not like cutting Rolle. Tough decisions have to be made with a deep roster, and that's a good problem to have, as they always say.
Looks like 5 WR.
Probably keep all 5 TE's until Bostic returns sand stash their 6th WR on PS.

Add OL Aaron Adams. He's been cut/may be placed on IR. Either way, he won't be on the 53-man roster
Stupid.... keeping 3 QB's.
Keeping Flynn over Jumari Rolle?!?!? Gimme a freakin break. You can put either player on inactive.
Like Mike Sherman said, "Someone has to be inactive anyway."
Some of the remaining players on the edge.
Garth Gerhart - C
Demitrius Goodson - CB
Luther Robinson - DE
Andy Mulumba - LB
Aaron Adams - T
Jeremy Vuinovich - T
Justin Perillo - TE
Jake Stoneburner - TE
CAPackFan - nothing official on Adams yet that I see.
Sounds like Thompson is trying to trade either Flynn or Tolzien. TT won't let either go without compensation. Keep them on the 53 today, and could still move either in a week or so and still find a better option (DL or OL for example) from other teams for the Packers 53.
Thompson must be puking right now
Here's what changed with #Packers QB situation from this morning: They had more guys with injuries/IR situations than expected.Opened a spot
Also, it sounds like the #Packers will be conducting a workout for a slew of quarterbacks tomorrow. Possible practice-squad options?
I agree with Esox that GB will keep both Flynn and Tolzien. They could trade off being the backup like Holmy did one year in GB with his backups. This report could also be true. If MM learned anything from last year, you can't have enough QBs studying your system and getting ready to play and feed the pipeline if the injuries start.
Since it is the Packers my guess is somebody got hurt while they were being released and then got put on IR instead.
Surprised by Rolle. Also hoped we'd keep a 6th WR with our history of injuries, and it was a toss-up for me between Dorsey and Myles White.
How in the heck can Goodson and Thornton still be in the conversation? I don't get it. foolish pride, maybe ... TT wanting to show that his picks still have potential. I'd cut 'em.
Same with Bradford.
I'd cut Stoneburner too. How many TE's do we need?
Rodgers and Matthews may not be old men (Peppers may be, though), but we have exceptional talent here, and I think we need to win NOW! AR and CM WILL be old men in another 5 years or so (IF they aren't injured badly before then), So let's WIN NOW!!!
who's with me? was it over when the german's bombed Pearl Harbor????? :-)
Pete Dougherty
Source says Bradford attending special teams meeting in a few minutes. Sign he's made the team.
Today I think we've learned Ted is showing a high degree of trust in his scouting team and the scouting process. Goodson still on roster, Rolle isn't. I don't know how Bradford showed enough inside in 1 week to win a spot. He must have. Maybe it's just a reflection of how thin the ILB group is as a whole and they felt Bradford was worth a longer audition? Maybe they viewed Goodson as a better athlete/project guy playing a position that doesn't need to be rushed based on the amount of depth GB has at DB.
Alex Green cut by Jets.
Royal, you want to cut Bradford, Thornton, Goodson and Stoneburner because you want to win now.
Who are you keeping instead of those 4 and what do the 4 you're keeping add that helps GB win now?

I was surprised to see Rolle go, too.
However, if something happens to again we'd need to sign another QB anyway. We already have two solid options, and they are as cheap as it gets. Why cut one to preserve a new 53rd best player on the team?
I say keep all three.
Sounds like Stoneburner is cut per Ryan Wood.

I agree!!!!
I not sure I was surprised by Rolle. He played plenty against Oakland and I saw nothing special that would say he is a gotta have guy.
I am very, very surprised about not keeping a 6th WR. Maybe in letting both Myles and Dorsey go they think that they can get one on the PS.
Goodson, Thorton, and Bradford - I agree - what have they shown. The sooner they get on with their life insurance selling lives the better. In the past TT hasn't been in love with his under performing draft picks - which has been a refreshing change from his predecessor. I hope TT isn't starting now.
TT hasn't really addressed the TE position yet. Both Stoneburner and Perillo can go. Maybe sign Perillo to the PS. So that would get that position down to 4. That is plenty.
Thanks to this forum I have pictures that the Germans (not the Japs) bombed Pearl Harbor. I wish I could be around in a 2000 years to see what history says about our time.
SB here we come.
Billy B so smart
Free Safety's pants grow quite tight

I have our roster at 58 players now. We need 5 more cuts.
Shields
Williams
Hayward
House
Burnett
Hyde
Dix
Richardson
Bush
Hyde in Bush can go both ways (S or CB)

Jets cut Dimitri Patterson
Posted by Josh Alper on August 30, 2014, 3:40 PM EDT
Cornerback Dimitri Patterson’s short and rocky tenure with the Jets has come to an end.
PFT has learned that the Jets have cut Patterson on Saturday, a few days after he released a statement saying that the Jets were dishonest in saying that they didn’t know where he was when he failed to join the team for their preseason game against the Giants. Patterson was suspended as a result that absence, which was rumored to be due to dissatisfaction about the fact that he wasn’t in the starting lineup for that game.
Patterson denied that was the reason, but the Jets obviously didn’t feel that his reason was good enough to warrant keeping him around despite a weak crop of cornerbacks. Patterson was also bothered by leg injuries this summer, continuing a theme of health issues that’s been a constant in his career.
Patterson signed a one-year, $3 million deal with the Jets as a free agent this offseason that included a $1 million signing bonus.
And yet another reason to appreciate Teddy.
Michael Sam released. This should produce some good press. I hope ESPN still has their team on the ground in ST Louis.
Rams cut Michael Sam. He needed to play more games this summer against Derek Sherrod.
Ouch
Sherrod has better shower habits.

should we pick this guy up, seems like he can pressure - looked ok?
Terrible news here

BSPN is camped out in Sam's bedroom. That's all we really care about anyway.
