53 today may not be the same 53 by Monday. Wild couple days of waiver wire transactions coming up. GB already have an OL scheduled for a tryout tomorrow.

Always remember, the roster is a living, breathing entity.

The finalization....It ain't over yet. Bradford, Thornton & others should still be on their toes.

TT can claim someone off waivers & cut someone currently on the roster if he thinks he can improve the team.

It ain't over yet.

Who are you keeping instead of those 4 and what do the 4 you're keeping add that helps GB win now?

OK, we have these TE's--

Rogers

Quarless

BBostic

ryan Taylor

that's 4.  Perillo would make it 5.   Really, how many do we need when normally only 1 is on the field at a time; sometimes it's 2.

Goodson has been God awful.

Here's whho I have at CB:

CB(6)--1@Sam Shields37
3@Casey Hayworth LOOKING GOOD29
2@Tramon Williams38
4@Micah Hyde LOOKING GOOD IN CAMP33
6@Davon House LOOKING REALLY GOOD IN CAMP31
5?Jarrett Bush SPECIAL TEAMS ACE24

Thornton has been invisible in practices AND games.   With the emergence of Jayrone, plus adding Peppers, who can play DE OR blitzing linebacker, I see no need there.

Bradford has been invisible at LB. Here are my picks at LB:

10)OLB--1@Clay Mathews52
2@Julius Peppers56

3@Mike Neal...*************************************96
4?Nick Perry?*******************************************
4Andy Malumba?**********55

ILB---1@A.J. Hawk50
2@Brad Jones*********59

Jamari Lattimore******57@@@
3Sam Barrington*******@@@@@@58
Palmer---SPECIAL TEAMS51

I'll admit I'm running out of patience with Perry.  I really want to see more.

as far as what we've done to improve?   Are you kidding?   A backfield of Lacy, starks, Harris and Kuhn may be the greatest in my lifetiime, and I'm old enough to remember Jimmy Taylor and Paul Hornung!

I think our WR team COULD be one of the best in the game, though only 2 are experienced, though they are excellent.

I think our DB's look much more solid so far.  Granted, it's only pre-season so far.

I think we look beetter against the run.  Could we be worse?  I doubt it.But having

Mike Daniels76

3@Josh Boyd93
4@Datone Jones?***********************************************95
& Jayrone Eliott excites me.   granted, they need to PrOVE they can do it!

If Jayrone can be a sackmaster against first stringers, that would be HUGE!!

Having Peppers, Neal and Claymaker at OLB really excites me!  They can blitz and they can plug the holes.

I think the big weakness we have is ILB.

I think one of the overlooked positives we have is Masthay.   I don't think there's a punter in the nFl I'd rather have!   Guys has won the battle of field position for us time and again.   Remember, when we won the Super Bowl aftter the '96 season we had an awesome punter.   Since then we've had a lot of guys who basically sucked.

If not us, WhO?   If not now, WHEN?

THIS IS OUR YEAR!   SUPER BOWL OR BUST, BABY!

Oh, and add this.   I think Harris has looked good as a kick returner, and Janis Joplin has flashed at punt returns (and we always have Micah Hyde as a backup there, who at least has reliable hands).    I seem to remember in '96 that a certain Desmond Howard was a key to our postseason success!   How long has it been since we had really solid returners?

YES, I have drunk the kool-aid.   JOIN ME!!!!!!!

Interesting ...

Gettis is a third-year pro that spent his first two years with Washington.

After being selected as a fifth round draft choice, Gettis didn't play as a rookie.

In 2013, Gettis played in 13 games exclusively on special teams.

According to ProFootballFocus.com, Gettis played 47 snaps this preseason before being released by Washington, grading out with a positive +2.9 rating.

With Packers center J.C. Tretter nursing a knee injury, the Packers are thin on the interior of the offensive line.

I thought you avoided all things pink.

Royal,

Thats easily a record for the most words strung together to not answer a question. But whatever. In the end I think we're on the same page.

This is is a damn good football team.

Time for a cocktail!

Well then maybe he should also invest in a Video Professor course or two on Word formatting.

Word on Gettis is he's "undersized" and was drafted by prior regime in Washington. But I liked his tweet on the way out:

Adam Gettis @NotOnDuty

It's been real, it's been fun, it's been real fun. On to the next! God and hard work will always get you through

Cheifs also cut Ryan Succop.  Most accurate kicker in their history. He was perfect in pre-season too.  But was due $2 million to the rookie they kept $400,000.  Bet he winds up in New Orleans.

Or back on the Chiefs roster with a reduced contract.

Try keeping your vodka in the freezer, it wont freeze, but will be mighty cold. That way you wont water it down by pouring warm liquor over ice to get it cold. Or if you still want some ice for an on the rocks drink you wont need as much ice so again it wont end up with a watered down drink. Thats how I make my martinis with gin. Also can try vodka shots with the vodka kept in the freezer first, they go down smooth as silk and warm the belly.

One think I dont understand is why people pay for premium liquor and then mix it with juice or whatnot. Seems to me thats a waste of money since an averaged priced liquor you would probably not know the difference after mixing it with juice?

The last thing we need is another guy from Iowa to come to GB and have an impact. We'll never hear the end of it. is there any way to find out if Iowa offered a scholarship to Sherrod?

Ya know, we should probably start a booze forum on here. I think it'd get more posts then the bucks, nascar, and badgers forum combined.
