This probably could go in the loins week thread, but I wasn't sure if I was allowed to start it.

My question is not if AR can throw the ball well enough to win this week, it's if he can allow himself to hand off the ball as much as he needs to.  The loins are dead last in the league against the run giving up over 150 yds/game.  There has been a 100yd rusher in 3 out 4 games against them.  It seems that this week, the run should be used to set up the pass.  Does AR have enough patience to not check out of too many run plays?

AR hand off?  We have Kizer for that.

AR hand off to Kizer. The Ravens did that Sunday night with their QBs. And they also had a TE lined up next to the center just barely back of him and next to the guard.

I have reached a point with AR that I totally trust AR to see what needs to be done on the field.  If he checks out of a run I am sure he sees something that can be exploited in the passing game and vice versa.

What I am more curious about is if the Packers can stop the Lions.

I agree, Heckler.  I trust him to make the right calls/adjustments at the line, but for some reason (perhaps lack of practice time as others have alluded to), the execution has been less than we're used to.

Stat Padford is a gunslinger, he will serve up plenty of opportunities for our ball hawking CBs. Since we lost Hyde, Hayward, Woodson, Tramon, etc. we haven't been good enough at CB to capitalize on his mistakes.

Rodgers always deserves the benefit of the doubt  with his decision making. If he sees an opportunity then he should take it regardless of situation. That kind of decision making is what we pay him $30 mil per year to do, not to just follow a gameplan to a T. That said, I wish he would reduce the hits he's taking so early in the season by 1) getting rid of the ball and 2) handing the ball off. I don't disagree with his decisions, but he has to be smarter with his body.

I totally agree with your thought on the lack of practice time.  Football is a game of rhythm and repetition and if you don't have that practice time you could be playing catch up.

Which is exactly why he should be relying more on the run game until he’s healthy enough to practice and get his timing down with the WRs.

I just watched the 1st half of the All 22.   Rodgers RPO'd out of the run about 5 times in that half.   Here is the thing though, it worked for solid gains almost every time.

I'm vreating a gif library for y'alls viewing pleasure.   Shhhhhh, no sharing, don't want my account getting termed.   Here is a taste.

Pad Statford & especially his wife have a huge "hard-on" for Rodgers - meaning she (of course) thinks her husband is 100x the QB Rodgers ever could be.

There are many others - look them up. Kelly is quite active on social media & doesn't like Rodgers at all. Rodgers gets "too much favoritism" according to her.

I think Stafford tries extra hard vs. the Packers - His problem in this game will be - he hasn't seen Pettine's defense yet. Like GD stated, Stafford will throw the Packer DB's the ball - they simply need to catch it.

That's one difference I've noticed about this years DB group. Even though they've had some "gifts", they've at least caught the ball. Couldn't always count on that with the previous group. And now maybe getting a little aggressive (see HHCD)?

Not on topic, but I'm still trying to figure out how or why there's some yapping on the airwaves about MM and AR not "getting along." PFT is all over this, and I know it's only a means of generating clicks, but where did it come from? Was there a comment read into in some insane way? Why is this garbage seeming to rear its head every year?

Rewatching the presser, it's a pretty direct shot at McVince over the Adams and Graham comments.  I still don't think Rodgers is putting the entire onus on McVince but you don't come off looking that grumpy in a presser because you're simply upset with yourself.

It was a shot at the plan. The constant personnel changes really messed with the flow.

Start Jones, leave Jones in there until he is sucking wind with his hands on his knees.

Rodgers is right, last guy GB had like Jones was Grant. Ride that horse/bell-cow.

Yeah, I didn't get the concept that Williams should be used when backed up on the field bit.  If the Oline is opening holes and Jones is ripping off runs then why would it make a difference?  The opposing defense is still keying in on the run.  I would think it would be exactly the opposite.  You have a dynamic runner who has more chance to bust off some big gains to keep the drive going vs. a ball protection/punt scenario.

Regarding 33 specifically, I would agree that he should be pushing 50 percent of the snaps when a when they're in 11 or 12 personnel.

30 and even 88 are probably better at pass protection, so there's that.  There are calls for the back to go in motion.  There are also TE's checking in and out.

I'm just not so sure that there aren't personnel changes on 80 percent of the offensive plays.

If he's referring to 33 alone, I buy it.  If it's personnel changes in general, that's weak.

This is the thing I don't get about the run and Marcedes Lewis.  As others have pointed out, Lewis was in for a lot of Jones' carries.  So far this season, Lewis isn't even considered a receiving target as far as I can tell.  ****ing Kendricks has gotten more looks in the pass game.  I don't get it.  It's not necessarily bad if Lewis is destroying LBs all over the place but he's one dimensional at this point.  I wonder if that's playing into the substitution debate and comments about Adams and Graham.

With all the other moving parts this offense is trying to fashion into a legible story, I'm hoping they're just saving that for later in the season.  There at a lot of new parts to this engine, possibly the reason AR has referred to the O being a work in progress.

let Tonyan play.  don't make me hope for injury to a certain ex-badger just to get him on the field.

but if they cut Kendricks today I would have a boilermaker in celebration.

Starting 3 WRs might be on the shelf Sunday. So yes. GB should look at the run game during the weekly install.

Regarding Jones. I’d like Mike to ****can his plan for giving Williams, Montgomery, and Jones “X” amount of carries in a pre-planned order and just let the run game dictate itself based on real time game flow.

Aaron Jones needs to start. Let him work the defense until it’s time for Williams to work them farther.

The data that shows Jones is the best RB in GB is overwhelming. So I fully expect to see Williams start until Mike proves otherwise.
