Fun post/thread on Deadspin this morning.
You have the ability to change one play in the history of sports. What do you change? Some really good ones in the comment section. Obvious ones Laettner shot, Brady hits Moss on that long throw with 10 seconds left, Heyward hits the half court shot to beat Duke.
What are the plays you'd change for the Packers? In all sports?
Mine.
Packers:
1. Bostick does his job, game over, Packers go to Super Bowl and I'll take my chances that they beat the Patriots rather easily. Bias of recency here, but GODDAMMITSOMUCH
2. Favre INT 2003 playoffs in OT WHEN THERE WAS NO REASON TO FLING TO NO ONE LIKE THAT. So many plays from this game really.
3. Rodgers completes that 3rd and G from the 2 pass to Cobb for his 7th TD of the night vs the Bears instead of settling for a FG there. Just like anything embarrassing the bears.
4. Rice's fumble is called a fumble. BECAUSE EFF THE NINERS THAT'S WHY
5. Whatever single play required us to depend on Cletidus Hunt in the Super Bowl
All Time:
1. Luther Head hitting a wide open 3 with the game tied 70-70 and <20 sec to go vs NC and Illinois basketball wins the title and is likely not a dumpster fire 10 short years later. I think about this single play for more than is healthy.
2. Heyward hitting that shot from half court vs Duke would have been the greatest sporting moment in history that had no personal connection to me. Duke losing to a mid major on that? DAMN how awesome would that have been? Ranked only ahead of #3 simply because I loathe Duke vs not care about the Giants/Pats.
3. I don't care about the Pats at all, but I gotta say, Brady hits Moss on that play, and that is hands down the greatest play in NFL history. Hitting Moss for 80 yards <10 seconds left to win and go 19-0. Holy balls man. Plus we'd no longer have to hear from the 72 Dolphins every damn year.
4. Laettner misses. Eff Duke. Always.
5. Bo Jackson doesn't destroy his hip on that tackle. Getting to see him play for such a short period of time is criminal.
