His comeback has been impressive. So many of us wrote him off. The implications are huge guys Ben the money tied up in him.

It's great that he's back to being a borderline all-star. He'll also be 32 at the end of the year, has a history of back problems, and is owed 130 million over the next 5 years. If the Brewers were a big market team, you keep him. But this is likely the best he'll ever be, and the Brewers were paying him based on the idea that he'd be a 950/1000 OPS guy. He's at 831 right now. That's 37th in the league.  If someone inquires, trade him. It's not like this team is any threat to advance even if they get into the playoffs.

Clearing his contract would allow them to go into full rebuild which is inevitable at this point when Burnes and Woodruff get moved out.

How long can they leave Winker at DH?  His .199 BA just doesn't cut it.   I know the potential is there but the Crew needs results, not promises.  And what happens with Tellez after he comes back from the DL?   One thing about Matt Arnold, he is not afraid to get rid of guys if they don't produce.  I'm ready to see what Sal Frelick can do at the Major League level.
