more trade talk- Gomez

Lind still out with the fake bad back thing because he does not want to be traded to the Cardinals.
Makes me like him even more
Angels just traded for Shane Victorino.
Mostly because the Angels suck.
The only thing that could make this season worse for Brewer fans is if Melvin trades Lind to St. Louis and he helps the Cardinals win the World Series.
if Melvin trades Lind to St. Louis for Kevin Mench
Mench is an incredible power just hitting his stride. Truly great deal for Brewers. Shouldn't have let him go in the first place. GO BREWERS!!!!
Braun scratched with back tightness tonight too. Probably part of the Lind package to St. Louis.
So is my daughter. I looked on Facebook to see if she posted a pic but she did not.
Counsell got himself ejected just so he could yell at bonehead Gomez sooner.
Rival exec: âI donât think MIL is really looking to trade Gomez. Price is VERY high -- think theyâre hoping to get blown away.â

#Astros are still monitoring the reliever market. Kimbrel, Benoit and K-Rod among names they've discussed.

Batting .114 with runners in scoring position on this road trip.
Sounds like Gomez could end up with the Mets sometime tonight. Not real crazy about some of the names rumored to be heading to Milwaukee (Juan Lagares, Wilmer Flores). Somebody at brewerfan.net came up with Zack Wheeler, Brandon Nimmo and Dominic Smith...I thought that was pretty good and a fair deal. Wheeler was a plus-plus prospect who has had major league success but is coming off an arm injury so the Brewers would be assuming all the risk with him. But it was just a Tommy John surgery, which doesn't seem like that big of a deal anymore. The Mets are very good in the rotation so Wheeler is expendable. Nimmo would probably be somewhere between 50 and 100 on most top prospects list, so he's a good one but not elite (roughly the same level as Segura when the Brewers traded for him). Nimmo isn't great at anything, does everything pretty well, but lack of power will probably prevent him from being an top-notch major leaguer. He should be able to play all three outfield spots. Smith is limited to first base, probably will be able to hit but will he be able to hit enough to stick at first base in the majors? If a deal gets done I hope it would be something like this.
New York Post writer Joel Sherman says a deal is done. Carlos Gomez to the Mets pending the physical. No word on what the return is yet.
