Corbin Burnes looked like a future all-star in the playoffs last year. As a 23 year old rookie, he pitched 9 innings, had an ERA of 2.00, struck out 11, walked one, and gave up 0 HRs.

In 5 games this year, his ERA is now 10.98 and he's given up 11 HRs in 19 innings. He has probably been the worst pitcher in baseball the first month of the season.

I haven't watched the games enough to know. Is his velocity down? He hasn't walked an inordinate amount of guys, so it's less likely location. Can Grandal just not work with him? Is he hurt?

Didn't see Burnes entire performance last night but his velocity was in the mid 90's so I don't think that's the problem. The inning I watched he walked, hit-by-pitch, hit, walk, hit.......He's around an 11 ERA . Brutal

Peralta got lit up today on his return from the DL ...6 runs in 4.0 innings. Uggh

Could be a long season with this pitching staff.
