Still proud of this team no matter what happens.
Now go kick the **** out of those cubbies. :-)
Yeah agree. Damm fine season but it sure would be great to get in.
The Rockies & D-Bags don't deserve it like Milwaukee does.
If they miss it, they had ample opportunities just didn't cash in.
Hope they get in.
Why don't the Dbacks deserve to get in. They've played great the second half? Probably better than anyone outside of Cleveland.
I know there are games and series throughout a 162 game season, but the 3 game sweep at the hands of CIN earlier this month looms large.
Been a fun year. Usually focus switches almost 100% to football by the end of Aug. Nice to have the Brewers chasing something yet.
It's easy to remember the games 'blown' (so to speak) but hard to remember the games that 'they stole.' This team has bounced back strong after every 'gut punch' loss. Gonna be a fun weekendâĶ
Agreed H5, that's IF it doesn't work out that the one series someone could point too. All in all, definitely over achieved so if it works out awesome if not it was a great season to build on.
A lot of good young talent with guys like Lewis Brinson waiting in the wings. I haven't been this optimistic since the early days Fielder/Weeks/Hardy/Hart/Braun.
I sure hope the Brewers fans come out in full force in this series. I don't want to see 1/4 of that stadium filled with the a**hole Cub fans.

If they deserve it they will get in, if they don't, it's on them.
I'm thinking that they will need 3 of 4 for the wild card, a sweep for the division. I'm with all of you in that this has been a fun season regardless, so let's keep it going.
****
Lots of Cubs fans in the house.
Braun is so anti clutch right now its not even funny

As soon as Braun came up, I knew that he was going to make it out. Time to sit him?
Walks...
Wow... big K
MONSTER
Whew......
****ing schit strike zone
YES!!!!! Huge swipe.
Woo Hoo!!!!
Wow- great baseball tonight...
That's just good baseball.
Playoff baseball. Gotta hand it to Counsell- he had them ready, doing the little things.
Finish them!!
Man... glad they got the lead, but those clutch hits are eluding them. 5 left on inn2 innings.
Wow bad at bats from Broxton and Villar need to close this out
Cmon Jeffress.
Looks safe. Jeffress looked real slow getting over.
Of course he's safe
What the fu*k is that sh*t????
There's one

One more
Filthy...

**** you Baez
Win this thing in the 9th boys....
Get it together Brewers finish these ****s
Baez acts like a bitch
Good baseball, followed by bad baseball got the lead then gave up the lead.
Here it is Braun - time to make it count you are due
Well, he made it count. Maybe not how you were thinking, but he did advance the runner.
Braun. Clutch.
It is time
Bases loaded bottom of 9th.
Cmon Crew.
Good grief- hits it TOO hard???
Make a few more changes Cubs
**** them up
How about a passed ball win?
Terrible at bat what else is new
Come on kid... be a hero.
Quit swinging for the goddamn fences
just need a hit
8 left on, 3 innings...
How many chances can you have
Maddening just maddening
Darn it. need more shutdown pitching.
Broxton choke.
Leave Phillips out there and there's 1 out
Drake looks out of his element.
Crap
God is Drake terrible.
Brewers peed down their leg in this one. Everything right for 8 innings. Then Jeffress didn't hustle, leaves one over the plate for the game tying run with 2 strikes, and 2 young kids can't make contact with them loaded with one out. Now the Cubs make them pay. A young team learned a big lesson tonight...
Note to self. Have Knebel available in most important series of season.
And Drake is in the majors because............??????????
Because the Brewers are rebuilding and thier roster is not yet complete ???
It was kinda rhetorical ïŋ―ïŋ―
Wow this home plate umpire has had a bad night. Not even close.

This. Counsell overused the bullpen in the Pirates series. No need to use Swarzak last night. Should have let Hader pitch 2 innings last night and used Knable in the 9TH and saved Swarzak for tonight. I like Counsell but he screwed the pooch for this game. Except for the 3 mentioned our bullpen sucks.
Stearns and Counsell have done an incredible job! We had the players in position to make plays that would have won both of the last 2 games. Knebel makes the throw we win, Jefferess either made the play or should have moved slightly faster and we win last night. Managers on and off the field need to put players in spots they can succeed, our hitters are getting their opportunities to produce and our pitchers are pitching Great{minus Drake).
Make two plays and it's Miller Time!
The last two losses have been a kick in the nuts but who would have thought we'd be in this situation with 2 weeks to go?
Colorado losing takes some of the sting out of last nights loss but they need to take control and start getting timely hits as they had several chances to put the game away regardless of what Jeffress did and it should have never gotten to Drake in the first place.
Braun needs to start stepping up. His at bats lately have been really painful to watch.
To me it seems as if Counsell is managing like every game is a playoff game, which is not that far from reality. I have no problem with the bullpen use in the PIT series.
Agreed what Braun needs to step up.
Still having fun, and still somewhat surprised we are talking Brewers during NFL week 3.
The last two nights have sure felt like playoff games. Outcome wasn't good but fun to watch.
They need someone other than Santana to get clutch hits and ideally that's Braun and to a lesser extent Shaw.
Shaw smashed one with a man on second in the 9th. But as luck would have it, too hard to score him from second. Sh*t luck...
How unlikely are back to back bombs by Vogt and Phillips??
This game leave Phillips in-
Woodruff looks to be fading.
Where is this team without Shaw?
What in tha F was that?????
Hader... devastating...
Cubs are good.
Damn them.
I know I said earlier that win or lose it was a good ride and that I just site back and enjoy it but these last 3 games pissed me off.
Me as well, it was a fun ride, but when ya get so close, it's hard to lose. AND WHAT THE HELL WERE ALL THOSE CUB FANS DOING IN MILLER PARK???? Dang it.
We hear how "loose" this team is. Well, maybe they're too loose. Heard about how the club house was "rocking" with tunes (as usual) before today's game...well, it is not business as usual and you guys lost two tough games in 48 hours before this loss. Maybe some or at least one of these guys needs to get serious instead of reveling in the fact the Brewers have over-achieved this year.

So thatâs where youâre goin with it. Not âhey the Cubs are a vastly more talented team.â Not âBaseball, man. Weird stuff happens.â
Youâre taking the âthey were listening to music before the game which means they werenât serious or somethingâ and thatâs why they lost. Music. Before the game. Because listening to music before the game clearly means they are simply happy winning 81 games and they arenât concerned about winning or losing. Just banging out killer tunes dude.
Jesus Tapdancing Christ on a cracker.
Music, man. We talking music. Music. We're talking music. We're talking music. Music. Man. Music.
Another tough loss but if this team gets to extra innings it's pretty much a guaranteed loss.
The division race is likely over now and with Colorado winning and STL winning their wild card chances are fading fast.
Might be on to something with that music theory. And how many home runs did you see yesterday after players ran the "gauntlet?" I think this team needs to talk a page out of the classy Cardinals playbook if they want any success this year.
In addition to dropping the damn music those kids are listening to noadays, I have to suggestions to winning the whole damn thing.
Make Ned Yost the manager of the Cubs. No one can lose a season at the end of a season like Ned.
Sit Sogard. All he does is lose.

David Meade did not mean the world was going to end on September 23rd. What he meant to say is that the Brewer's playoff chances were going to end on September 23rd.
I wish it were as simple as music. Is that like the Brewers equivalent to icing the cookies?
Part of the problem is just a pure lack of experience. The Cubs are really good to be sure, but they have also been tested in the playoffs which prepares them well for these high pressure situations. It sucks to watch them come up short but they are battling and it should help them for future (similar) events.
What ticks me off is how the ****ing Cardinals took the gaspipe against Chicago but are now on fire which doesn't help Milwaukee one bit. We struggle to beat them and they can't help the Brewers when we need them. God I hate the Cardinals!! I hope Planet X or a small meteor crashes into BuschStadium or whatever the hell they are calling that place now.
You are taking this too serious. We weren't supposed to be here this season. The kids are feeling the pain of losing when it was big. Hopefully it leaves a mark that pushes them further next year.
Arcia blowing a kiss to the dugout while at bat Thursday was a sign they aren't quite there. Versus the Cubs Baez crouching lower and swinging harder to drive in big run.
Disappointing losses in the last 3 games.
We are so close, and so young. Gonna be fun these next few years.
