I stayed up until midnight (PDT) to watch the game last night. You folks on the east coast were up until 3:00 AM & ready to start cooking breakfast.
Incredibly fun baseball game to see. Game 4 should be equally as entertaining today.

Why are you cheering for the cubs?
Well, the Brewers aren't in the playoffs, my brother lives part time in Chicago the fans, and team need to get beyond "the curse", and I would just like to see them win it all. They're a fun team to watch.

I am 58 years old. I distinctly remember when I was 11 and Milwaukee did not have a baseball team, being at my best friend's house in hot summer days enjoying their pool while their parents had the Cubs on the radio.
Ron Santo. Glenn Beckert. Billy Williams, etc. They kind of collapsed and lost to the miracle Mets.
I think there are a fair number of folks my age and older who developed some liking for the Cubs, having listened to them and rooted for them during their childhood while the home town lacked its own team.
I think beating the curse would be awesome.
Personally, I just don't understand the concept of vilifying the fans of an entire region. I think that is silly and inaccurate. I don't think there is something in the water that makes an entire populace tend to be a bunch of alohas. Sure some regions have a higher percentage of jerk fans, but the entirety of a fan base? I just don't get that.

Part of me wants to see the Cubs win it all so like the Saux fans they can STFU about all jinxes and hexes over the years. I mean, it gets old after a while hearing about how they haven't won a title in like 250 years.
