When the Steelers announced their pick a little earlier, the guy who read the pick made it a point to say that they were the only team to win 6 Super Bowls. Congrats to another Great Packer. Just read Lombardis Left Side which was written by and mostly about the careers of Herb Adderly and Dave Robinson and Lombardis to contribution to leading the way for African Americans opportunies to play in the NFL. Very interesting book.
Indeed, Big Dave not only got a little dig at at Pittsburgh, he said Green Bay was 13-time World Champs, more than anybody else. And referred to Titletown!

Big Dave was my favorite Packer growing up. I love his comments about the brown gloves in the America's Game video of the Ice Bowl.

I am not unfortunately. I was born about a year and a half after the Ice Bowl and really started watching the Pack in '78. I missed watching Robinson live by 4 years.
The older I get, the more I wish I could have seen some of those Lombardi teams in real time instead of just from video clips. As fun as the last 20 years have been, they're still a couple levels behind what Dave Robinson and all those other guys accomplished.

Yep, old enough to remember watching Robinson play. Great player. Started watching the Pack in the mid-60's when I was eight. Grew up in central Ohio but the Packers became my favorite team over the Browns way back then.

I met Big Dave last fall at the Walgreens in Waunakee where he was signing copies of Lombardi's Left Side. I got an autograph photo and book, and had my picture taken with him and my son. He even let my son wear his Super Bowl ring in the picture!
Dave is a class guy. I am going with 2 friends to Canton to see Big Dave get inducted in the HOF first weekend in August!
And yes, I am old enough to remember him playing along with Ray.

Don' remember when Packers started being on TV but I have been a Packer fan (they were on radio also) for over 70 years. My folks first got a TV in 1954 so could not watch an TV earlier than that. But always listen on the radio. for you youngster on the board radio is TV without the picture. LOL
