As this mess grows more and more, looking like umm.. definitely not  Packer people

Four more lawsuits have been filed -- bringing the total number of cases in the court system against Deshaun Watson to SEVEN.

Accuser #4, Accuser #5, Accuser #6 and Accuser #7 -- all using the pseudonyms "Jane Doe" -- make similar accusations to the previous accusers.

All 4 women say they were contacted by Watson to perform a private massage and he got aggressive in pursuit of a sex act.

The new accusers say they never consented and felt violated. They're suing for civil assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Obviously, he's entitled to due process and he's denying all this. But there is also no denying this is evolving into a massive shit show. Reports now are, even if the Texans were willing to trade him, more and more teams are now backing off.

In the era of the #metoo movement, I cannot see how the league just turns a blind eye.

Big Ben got a 4 game suspension in 2010 for what was arguably worse (alleged sexual assault beyond just grotesque harassment by Watson).

But 10 years later, there is justifiable less tolerance for this type of thing. I'd say he's likely looking at at least a 4 game suspension. If the conduct in any of these cases moves to physical assault (and not just harassment) then he's looking at much longer.

Jail time?

I'm sure the Bandwagon Franchise would still sign Watson. It's not like any of this occurred on a boat or something. They'll be fine with it. Worst case, they won't announce his name during pre-game introductions.

Is it possible the Texans are doing this in a coordinated attack paying these women to say this as "getting their pound of flesh" since Watson doesn't want to play there?

I'd put nothing past that front office. Just throwing it out there as a devils advocate. Because he's been nothing but a model NFL player until this came out now.

I don't see that happening Boris...risk is too great for financial losses. That's not just on the hook for damages, that's people involved going to federal pound-me-in-the-ass prison. Don't see it.

is Watson sending a message to the vikings? Will he be chartering the Love Boat to show he's a team player? A solid locker room presence? Could Cousins' days in purple be numbered? Just asking....

Some of the masseuses were referred by a Texans coach, so its possible/ likely there was some institutional knowledge of what was going on. And something shitty was going on - if you listen to their statements - those women were terrified.

I don't thing the Easterby's initiated it, but I wouldn't be surprised to learn they poured gas on it or shared more inside info with Buzbee.
Watson is a now sinner and he will be smited, smeared and publicly pilloried - for bringing shame to the Texans  and for rejecting them.  Watson's guilt/innocence will play out in due process; but in the court of public opinion -  the Texans needed a Hail Mary and maybe they found one.

The loss of trade value is irrelevant for the True Believers
