now here is a case where Badell SHOULD step in. wanna take bets on that happening?
as for raiola, he just went on my target list. wasn't my ticket yesterday but if he's still on the loins next year I'll be bringing my A game for him.
edit: this had gotten under my skin pretty good for some reason. verbally abusing marching band members before the game and right before the Nat'l anthem... I get that the guy is so frustrated from losing to the Packers again and again and again, but you take out your envy on the marching band? on college students who have nothing to do with the game you're about to play? and you, yourself a fat man, have all the originality of a piece of gravel to call them "fat" and then lower yourself even further into homophobic slurs and calling one girl the name which any grown man knows you should probably never use even if it's true? yes, that's the face of the NFL badell is looking for, I'm sure. and, yes, I would think the loins lost the game before it ever even started - karma's been pretty quick a few times this year. thanks for giving me more reason to hate your team, domidick.
Raiola, 34, is the longtime starting center for the Detroit Lions. He was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2001 NFL Draft and has been a regular starter since the 2002 season. He played college football at the University of Nebraska.
Seems to me another fine upstanding teammate of his played for Nebraska too...?
Wasn't there some turd on the Queens - a WR I think - who got in the face of the UW band members while they were marching before the game a few years ago?
Raiola is a POS if this is true, but since his coach is also a scumbag absolutely nothing will be done about it. I just wonder if there's any way to corroborate this other than with witnesses. There are hot mikes all over the field now. That'd be interesting to see.
Since this dirtball is a leader among the players and his coach is what he is, it's really no wonder to see how Detoilet pretty much sucks. They're rotten from the inside-out.
Credos to Delmas for at least trying to show some decency.
I doubt Raiola was taking his frustrations of 14 years of ineptitude in the NFL out on those band-members. He was just doing it because that's who he is, a bully and a jerk. He'd have done the bullying even if the Lions had won in Lambeau the past 20 seasons. He's the Lions equivalent of Warren Sapp (also a major league bully and jerk) except nowhere near as good as Sapp was.
Lion People
"Raiola met his wife, Yvonne, while in high school. The couple has three kids (Taylor, Dylan, and Dayton), and resides in West Bloomfield Township, Michigan.
Raiola also fathered an out-of-wedlock son with his former paramour Andrea Yee in 2007. In December 2012, he allegedly stopped making about $195,000 in annual support and care payments, and was sued by Yee.[5]"
Ironically, his younger brother was a Badger. They are both turds. There is something wrong with that family. BTW, he is one of the worst starting players in the NFL. Terrible player who only plays, because his coach likes cheapshot artists.
Welcome back Goalline
Guys, all we need to do is get this story to PFT or some other source & let it go viral.
It'll be on NFL Network by tonight
We can also ship the link to the NFL. Let's make the NFL investigate this.
Let's see how much Goodell cares about the "face" of the NFL.
EDIT: Looks like it's already out there.
#Lions statement: โWe are aware of the reports involving Dominic Raiola and the (UW) Marching Band."
It makes sense that he attended Nebraska. FYI -- for those who didn't already know; the "N" on the Nebraska helmet stands for knowledge.
and it's on PFT now. let the games begin.
According to PFT, this dip**** has been fined twice in his career for similar events.
Welcome back Goalline
Thanks baas. Once he used the "C" word it was going to become news.
That's not the Detroit Lion way under Jim Schwartz. Look for Delmas to be on waivers before the day ends.
Obviously this is a story imagined by the Badger band to humiliate the Lions' best player.
First thing I noticed when looking at the picture with the article I read was the "C" embroidered on the front of his jersey (no, I don't mean that C-word, I mean Captain). Interesting........
Player imitating the coach. Schwartz probably thinks Raiola was "just getting himself ready" to play and sees nothing wrong with Raiola's actions. It's great that they keep Schwartz around because if that team ever got a really good coach, they could be dangerous with the talent they have. But Schwartz's methods and lack of discipline are interfering with the progress of the team. Gotta think some of the more level-headed guys on that team don't want to play for him or put up with that crap.

I sent an email to the NFL earlier today with a link to the story.
Well it couldn't be the environment that's fostered in kitten land could it..
Complete POS if it's true indeed. Also, still fuming after seeing the multiple tripping attempts by those a holes yesterday.

I wonder if the NFL will fine the lions for those tripping attempts...
Hopefully they are on the film the Packers sent to the league today.
"Dominic Raiola is literally the worst person I have ever had the fortune to encounter. After marching down the field awaiting the national anthem, He went off on a verbal tirade, among other things, questioning my sexuality (as a band member) and then continued on to bring my sister and my recently deceased mother into the conversation. After I refused to give him the satisfaction of turning to look at him, he switched targets to a trombone ranting at him calling him overweight and saying he can't play a real sport. After our halftime show, the same fine gentleman called a female member of the band the "c" word."
SO many things to not like about the Lions. All mentioned above. Some people like Raiola are just NOT Packer people. Schwartz is a punk, Suh is an idiot and now Riola is just a bully and a first class imbecile. Yet nothing will be done about Raiola's shocking behavior and that type of enabling has been going on for years. Sad, but true.
You reap what you sow and the Lions will NEVER win with Schwartz running the show, and that's great for the green and gold.
Oh yeah, the time out with 24 seconds? What a child/baby...smh.
Proud to be a fan of a FIRST CLASS organization like GB.
Now I REALLY WISH MM had went for the end zone after Douche Schwartz called the timeout with 15 seconds left. MM should have went 5 wide and let fling it. Revenge will be sweet and well served on Thanksgiving Day.
Anyone who has ever watched the UW Marching Band knows that every one of those members probably has more stamina than Mr.
He's suffering from serious butthurt - that's the ticket
NebrASSka can't beat UW, and Deetoilet can't beat Green Bay
Oh the horror
LMAO at Delmas being the voice of reason

This is now little of a person Schwartz is...if you watch the end of the game where he took the time out, right before it everyone acted (even Detroit) like the game was over and time would expire. Schwartz took the timeout and you could see him yelling on the sidelines at the refs saying "You're goddamn right I'm taking *MY* timeout, you don't tell me when the game is over."
Basically he had an issue with everyone "assuming the game was over" so he threw a hissy fit and took the timeout to "let them know who's boss". F'n Idot.
Wow. I wonder how his drug tests have been going now that he "put on" 15+ lbs. in the offseason after 13 seasons in the league. A little rage?
Even if he is clean, Raiola has a history of bad behavior that no one has called him on. I have to appreciate Delmas for recognizing his teammates bad behavior. That is a key data point.
โThereโs always, when youโre on the road thereโs hostile environments, fans say a lot of things,โโ coach Jim Schwartz said in his Monday press conference.
Yup, Schwartz continues to take the high road.
I caught video of McCarthy this morning responding to this.
He said and I don't directly quote:
"I don't know why in the hell he(Raiola) would do something like that. We love the UW Marching band and we love having them here."
edit - the actual quote:
โWe love the Wisconsin band, and obviously, I donโt know what the hell heโs thinking about, saying anything negative to the band,โ McCarthy said Monday of Raiola, whose younger brother Donovan, coincidentally, played at Wisconsin.
โI donโt know what was said or this and that. I know our fans love it when the Wisconsin band is here. Phenomenal reputation; they did a great job yesterday. But as far as who said what, I really donโt have any comment on it.โ
Lions Team President calls UW band director and aplogizes for Raiola's behaviour. Dont have the exact quote but he said something like while their investigation into the matter was still ongoing he had learned enough already that an apology was definitely warranted. He did it sincerely per the report.
Since Raiola has already been fined twice for indescretions against fans ($7,500 & $15,000), expect he will be fined even more for this infraction as well.
Yeah a "fine" will definitely make him alter his behavior

Raiola apologizes to Leckrone over the phone. If that's what he really said he was obviously reading off of que cards. Nothing like a forced, insincere apology.
Forced apologies are the best apologies. Guessing the "significant" donation will be around 30K
Double what his last league gig was
Found on internet:
Have the Lions invite the UW Marching Band to perform at the Thanksgiving game against the Packers.
"my actions Sunday fell dramatically short"
yeah, that sounds just like domidick said it off the cuff, I mean, read it from the PR guy's cue card.

That would be cool..foot the bill and show them a good time.
I hear Detroit is b e a utiful that time of year
If they accept, I bet the Lions fans boo them.
If they accept, I bet the Lions fans boo them.
Of course they would. Mercilessly. It would be way worse than anything they put up with at Lambeau. What band member would want to spend their Thanksgiving weekend getting booed in Detroit? Whoever originally posted that idea had to be joking. Or it was secretly Schwartz.
So he bought/bribed his way out of trouble. Oh yes. That's certainly a beacon of an example to teach young fans (especially) what happens when your a POS.
