Mack was good, but let's not also forget he was going against a guy who was coming back from an ACL and had no preseason to speak of. Mack should have had a good day. And Kizer gifted him that TD...

Wow.  Just wow.  That game will go down as one of the great performances ever.  I still have concerns about this team but I'm going to enjoy this one for awhile.

They are still working around some serious holes.  I don't expect this to be a smooth season.  They need another season of decent picks and FA activity.

There’s a lot to get cleaned up, but the defense looked different at crunch time. The talent upgrade was obvious...Dean Lowry to Muhammad Wilkerson, Josh Hawkins to Jaire Alexander, etc. We also saw free rushers and late game man coverage though, which is definitely a welcome change with Pettine. There’s a lot to fix, but A LOT to grow from.

Rodgers knee injury might be a blessing I disguise. It forced him to play to the scheme instead of holding the ball, risking injury, and relying on receivers to win 1on1’s. The scheme and timing combined with Rodgers awareness and accuracy are what led to the historic 2011 offense. He didn’t always play sandlot football. His best years were when he was controlled and decisive.

Mack just ran himself into the ground the first half. He was spent the second half. His absence from camp caught up to him.

I normally try to be pretty reserved when I'm around other teams fans, but I was sitting in a section of Lambeau with way way too many obnoxious Bears fans in it. That last minute of the game I did "The Bears Still Suck!!" chant as loud as I possibly could and wanted to rub it in as much as possible.

That was one of the craziest sporting events I've ever been to.  When I saw Rodgers get carted off and saw how awful the Packers were once again without him, I literally felt like the season was over and was contemplating a bleak future for the Pack.  I was shocked he came back, and even as great as Rodgers is, I was stunned at just how incredible he was in the 2nd half after he struggled quite a bit in the 1st half.

Just when you think you've seen it all, then you see something like that.  Rodgers was amazing, the receivers made some great plays, the defense took advantage of the Bears going a bit into a shell.  Just an amazing thing to watch one of the best QBs the universe has ever produced put a team on his back and pull off a near miracle.

What ever happened to he never gets tired of throwing the easy pass?

100% agree with all of this!

The game winning catch by Cobb that went for 75 yards had Mack running those 75 yards trying to catch Cobb. Nice try. Mack needed to be in camp.

First game I ever had to turn the sound off. Collinsworth and Michaels dick slurping mack just got unbearable. TBSS

I had the TV sound off while listening to the Packers Radio Network with Wayne Larrivee and Larry McCarren. The delay in the broadcast was only a couple of seconds, so it was tolerable and was much better than listening to Michaels and Collinsworth. I see Wayne and Larry are also on Sirius Radio, so you can listen in  from anywhere.

It was a rough first half for sure but when I saw this guy on the other side of the tunnel an hour before the game I knew a Packer victory was inevitable. F9ABE981-842F-41DC-B021-2BA2CAC234EC

HA! That pic is awesome!

Sorry. This isn't a SB D right now. Not even close.

Are you saying it's not a SB D in WK1?  You must be flabbergasted.  I for one am outraged!

He doesn't get tired of throwing the amazing passes either.

Disagree. If the offense is on track, a top 10-15 would be great. It looked top 10-15 to me after first drive.

Agree with all of this - thought Alexander had a great game.  I texted a friend during the fourth quarter that Rodger's injury was, sad to say, a blessing in disguise because it forced them into a rhythmic, short passing game - with plent of YAC - that is more true to their west coast roots.

I'll give Mack his due, he's obviously a great talent, but Kizer literally handed him those two turnovers....Frank Zombo could have made those plays.  And I still don't get why MM refused to give Bulaga some help by lining up Lewis on his side.

I just hope this season doesn't go like the 1999 season did.  In that season Favre was able to pull out 3 miracle type finishes in the first 4 games.  But other than some late game Favre magic in those 3 games, the team was a pile of s*#t and Favre took a beating, a beating to his shoulder and hand that affected him for quite some time.  They won only 5 games the rest of the year once Favre was done pulling out last minute comebacks and the entire coaching staff..... including QBs coach at the time Mike McCarthy were let go.

Now in some ways yesterday was worse, Rodgers probably got beat up worse than Favre did and might be lucky he dodged a season ender type.  If nothing else, somehow someway, Rodgers needs to be kept upright, and he needs more help than he got yesterday.

you can thank me.  it was all my doing.
I drank beer for the 1st half.  Thought I should change things up at half for myself and the team and had a huge Old Fashioned for the 3rd quarter.  That was working so I took it up a notch for the 4th quarter and had a Gimlet for Glory - VICTORY!!

Rodgers probably would not have gotten hurt if he remembered that rule of thumb: when you go down, curl into a ball. He left his leg straight out to the side and that's a recipe for disaster. If he had pulled that leg in immediately -- and he did have time as you could see on replay -- he probably wouldn't have more than a bruise. Bummer.
