Wtf is up with Mertz going to the sideline to get calls?
Mertz misses a wide open Ferguson on a 10 yard throw.

Unless Mertz is hurt, going to Wolf here doesn't make a lot of sense. You just let a decent QB transfer and you bench Mertz here? He needs reps. It's not like Wolf gives you much in the passing game.

Well, at least they are making a game of it. Just some questionable calls and decisions. Damn WF WRs are running free a lot though.
I’m wondering if the hurry-up is why they put Wolf in. I don’t know why Metz is going to the sidelines to get play calls, but he wouldn’t have time to do that in a hurry-up situation. Weird. Maybe his concussion kept him from learning the hand-signals. Maybe he can’t see the sideline (not good for a QB). Or maybe he was banged up.
Wake Forest is doing a lot of run blitzing. Play action should work, but they don't fear Mertz and these WRs at all .
Mertz and the receivers are masters of completing passes just short of the first down marker.
Another punt shank. You might as well just go for it at this point
Badger defenders seem indifferent to tackling.

If Mertz can't run a hurry-up at this point, they needed to bring Coan back for next year.
That should have been blown dead. If a Badger would have hit him on top of the pile, it's a 15 yard penalty.
No real consistent pressure on the QB and Badger DBs struggle in coverage. Not a good combination.
Well, back to some more "positives".
Completely uninspiring today. I live for Badger football, more so than the Packers. This makes me sad.

The RBs they have literally run into a single hole whether it's open or not. THere was a bounce to the right there that had a hole of about 5 semis wide.
No confidence from the Badgers to throw the ball at all.
