nice, thanks for sharing.
I hope he continues to have that drive now that hes made the league.
Though I guess with the CBA his initial contract wont be too much
compared with years past.
After everything Ive read on Lacy this weekend Im surprised he lasted as long as he did

Thanks for sharing that.
Packer People. Nice kid from a nice family, faced a lot of adversity that wasn't self inflicted. I really hope destroys the competition.

I wasn't sold on taking Lacy initially, but I'm on board now after watching that. I've always been a sucker for a good story like this.
Watching some highlights of him...he has moves that you typically don't see in a big man. He was juking like nobody's business in some of those clips. I'm now officially excited.

I'm an Eddie Lacy fan first these days.
Good stuff Rusty.

Wow. You have to like the kid after watching that video. I wish him the best of luck in GB.
Wow. Really good stuff.
Thanks Rusty!

Agreed. This almost makes up for his draft day SNAFU when he forgot about the comp pick for Flynn. ALMOST.
anybody sitting around the kitchen table eating boiled crawfish is good people.
Welcome to the Frozen Tundra Eddie. Brett Favres Steakhouse has some good Crawfish Etoufee that will make you feel right at home.

For a bigger guy he has decent footwork and has a nice burst. I also like the fact he breaks a lot of tackles.
Liked the story as well. Different things motivate different people and Lacy seems to be set up well mentally to succeed at the next level.

He was probably making more at Alabama.
Great stuff. That spin move reminds me of the Tasmanian Devil!
Good stuff. Thanks, Rusty.
Great video--Thanks for posting. Love the way he shows up big time in the big games (SEC Championship, National Championship)... and hope he keeps playing "angry" up in Green Bay.
Packer people by me too.....but should we worry about this??
One reason the Steelers passed on Eddie Lacy is a toe injury the Alabama halfback has had, Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. team source said the Steelers would not touch Lacy because his big toe had been fused.
There has been concern about injuries to Lacy’s hamstring and what has been reported as turf toe, but nothing’s been reported about a fusion. Either way, teams did stay away from Lacy – considered by many the best talent at halfback in the draft -- until Green Bay made him the fourth back drafted with the 29th pick in the second round.

Can't remember pulling more for another player in a while. Really hope this guy comes in and sets the backfield on fire.

He had the surgery before spring practice, 2012, as reported in this March, 2012 story

Didn't seem to hamper him much last season.....
Wow. That's incredible. Thanks for sharing.

Adrian Peterson had some fairly serious injuries in college, too. Some folks think he turned out ok anyway.
Feel free to wring your hands and/or gnash your teeth if you need to.
I still cannot believe we took a RB in the draft! I'm happy
The steelers did draft leveon bell in round 2.
"Oh $**t. You mean the Packers can run the ball now too?!?!" - NFC North

I'm sure his history of injuries was a concern to the Packer organization but they determined the risk was worth taking at that point in the draft. The Steelers came to a different conclusion and we'll know in several years which one was closer to getting it right.

If AP makes Minnesota think they can win with Christian Ponder at QB, then he's done more than OK.
If I recall, didn't that Bert guy have a suspect hip that many weren't sure would allow him to play for more than a couple years? That worked out okay. I think a RB is different, but if he can stay healthy he makes us a LOT better.
It all really comes back to Favre doesn't it?
Gotta be related...
that's a good omen - looking like Edgar.
it'll be interesting to see. the spin move doesn't usually pan out too well in the bigs - too many fast guys flying to the ball and you get labelled coming out of it. I'll be rooting for him, we'll see.

He has courage.

Favre played his career with Avascular Necrosis (AVN) - http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2136357
AVN is what cut Bo Jackson's career short. Flyod Landis won the Tour de France and then had surgery for AVN. http://www.cbsnews.com/2100-500368_162-1836783.html
For some, AVN requires surgery while others can live through it. Favre is unique in this regard, most with AVN need surgery like Jackson and Landis had. Especially those that are more active (athletes) than the average Joe.

Then he caught Vykingchokeitis in 2009. Po' feller.

Because he's king of the forest. He's just not very corageous.

This written by the guy who keeps referring to Arjen Robben as a German.
Outstanding! I really like this guy! Great freakin Pick!
TBH I am not big on the sad story for an athlete to promote whatnot and such. That being said, it's a nice story and the kid definitely has a ton of talant.
I am glad he is in the G&G. Best of luck to you Mr. Lacy, make us proud and build a legend!
