Easy answer would be Eli. But Brady needs to win and play well. Yes, He's got three rings. But in a list of QB ratings in the SB with QB's that have played 2 or more games, he's number 9 on the list. Not good.
Even worse. The following QB's have better single game performances than Brady even though Brady has had had 4 shots so far:
Ken Stabler
Jake Delhomme
Doug Williams
Phil Simms
Steve Young
You would think that in one of those 4 games Brady would post something above 110 on the rating scale. Jim Freaking McMahon had a rating of 104 (well above Brady's SB average). It's a passing game today, right?
Troy Aikman, Jim Plunkett, and Terry Bradshaw all posted career SB averages that are better than Brady's best single SB performance. Brady has only one game above Bart Starr's SB average. And forget Montana. His career average in the SB is 127 (off the charts amazing and easily best all time). Which by itself completely takes care of the "best ever" argument, IMO.
Eli probably takes a bigger hit with a loss tomorrow. Brady will always have the rings. But another bad game is going to hurt him as well.
EDIT. Left off two more QB's that have posted better single game SB numbers than Brady has in his 4 starts. Drew Brees and a certain guy a lot of us are familiar with who played a pretty good game last year....
