Why does this guy have so many haters?

The guy who is going to save free speech once canceled the Tesla order for a journalist. The crime by the journalist? Criticizing Elon Musk.

Worship Musk if you like, but you better agree with his politics, because anyone who doesn’t is getting censored.

I worship no man (or woman) my friend. I find the whole thing entertaining mostly.

Right now Twitter (all social media) is a fucking joke. Large portion of accounts are bots (to inflate numbers for ad revenue) and it is censored with a extreme bias. The worst part is, it's a vocal minority, and politicians on both sides use mob trends to make policy decisions.

Truth be told, the world was a lot better when we didn't have Twitter and Facebook...for the handful of positives, IMO, there are way more negatives.

Twitter is an absolute cess pool and a complete shit show.  I only keep it around so I can laugh at the utter stupidity that has over taken our country on both sides.  What boggles my mind is that people won't educate themselves (and yes both sides are guilty) but use social media to influence them on how they lean politically.

I analyzed the Musk-Twitter deal for my financial statement analysis class and the deal is about as stupid as I've ever seen.  Twitter's cash flows simply can't support the interest payments on the debt that Musk has lined up, let alone provide him with a return on the equity he and his buddies are going to invest.  It's really no surprise he's put this deal "on hold" while he does his best to tank it. It's a complete disaster even before you consider the effect on Tesla stock (which he's using as collateral for the loan to buy Twitter).

Oh, and there is no such thing as "on hold" for a deal like this.  Musk waived due diligence when he signed the agreement to buy Twitter, meaning he decided against "popping the hood" to take a deeper look at what he is buying.  Barring a significant misrepresentation by management, this deal is still on.  And his issue with bots is likely not significant enough and he likely cannot prove that Twitter purposely misrepresented this.  PWC audits the 10K, so not like management can simply make it up.  There has to be support behind their 5% bots statement and it was good enough for PWC.  Now the statement can be wrong but Musk has to prove that Twitter purposely mislead him on that.  That's a high bar, having to show intent.  But he can't simply walk away now, even with that $1 billion fee.  If he does walk away, he opens himself up to breach of contract lawsuits and shareholder lawsuits in addition to that $1 billion fee.

This is going to get ugly and obviously will be handled by the courts.  And yes, Musk is rich and will be fine but it's just stupid.

you mean like the current ownership/management of Twitter? So basically it will be the same.

That isn't accurate ... the 35 million acres is the total owned by all foreign countries (Canada has the most) , China own 191,000 acres, or one-half of one percent of the 35 million acres.

I was wrong, however, 35M acres owned by foreign entities is just as alarming.

The CCP owns 3.68% of American debt...that is worse than owning our wheat. And they are gobbling it up like Pac-Man.
