How about the D allowing zero TDs and only 12 points even with multiple short fields. It was against Brock O, so it’s not like they stifled Drew Brees, but they got it done none the less. Can’t complain about much when you only allow 12 points.

Good to see a couple young guys in Raven Greene and Tony Brown show out in limited action. Both these guys need experience, but they look like they play with a lot of passion and attitude. Much needed on this defense.

Biggest negative is that the game shouldn’t have even been this close. Couple of mistakes gave the Dolphins amazing field position and a couple missed opportunities on offense left some points on the field. Game probably should have been more like 42-6 if they had played cleaner football.

Ron Zook should be arrested for theft for the money he’s stealing from 1265 for the absolute garbage he’s putting on display on Special Teams.

Mike McCarthty still can’t commit to Jones like nearly every other competent HC would in the NFL. Putting in a cold Williams produced the kind of results you’d expect.

Pos?

They won. At home. They live on for another game on a very short week.

Aaron Jones.

Addition by subtraction on the defensive side of the ball. You never want to see players getting injured, but Brice has been a liability all season. And HaHa, you’re not missed. The kids will make some mistakes, but at least the effort is there.

The Oline created some huge holes for Jones today. Well done.

Jones is a stud! I realize this is likely wishful thinking, but maybe, just maybe, today’s game makes McStubbornBottoms realize that the running-back-by-committee experiment needs to end.

This team is learning how to win without all world elite QB play, which is important because our all world elite QB hasn’t been all world elite since the second half of the Bears game....not sure what the problem is there.

Ron Zook sucks. Every time the Dolphins faked it, I called it. Every. Time.

Blocked punt is inexcusable.

I also called it when the Pack faked it. Like who didn't see that one coming? Even the Dolphin coach saw it & was super pissed they allowed it. Where in the **** is Nolan Cromwell FFS?

Aaron Rodgers better get his head outta his ass. Taking a sack to move them out of FG range. He's done this numerous times this season. The highest paid player in the game, at a minimum, has to throw it away. Don't know WTF is wrong with him but he's definitely not 100% Real Rodgers right now. Throw to Adams just about 3 inches too high should've been the TD dagger. Real Rodgers makes that throw.

Jimmy Graham - ****ing non-existent. Guess we now know why the Seahawks let him go.

++++++++

DB's making plays (hope Jaire is ok) heard Harlan say Billy B likes Jaire. Yay....maybe we got one finally. Breeland looked almost like a real safety out there. Played better than Haha.

EQSB - block was ferocious but 100% legal. NFLFU!

MVS - guy keeps improving. Bodes well for future.

Aaron Jones - why this guy isn't seeing 20-25 touches per game is beyond me.

Hey....Marcedes Lewis with a huge play!

D. Adams should have a minimum of 15 targets every game. Maybe more. The guy just gets open. He's amazing.

Pettine - this guy tries to get a lot of pressure on the QB & I love it.

+ win

+ raven green? i can't even spell it.  tony what's his face?

+ 33, 23

- special teams is abysmal again.  seriously, zook can be fired mid-stroke.

- 23 could be concussed, and we need him

can't believe that 51 has a bunch of sacks this season and oh ya, 53 is hurt again.  if we could smash that gum chewin' pos in 12 country on thurs night, i will feel a lot better about this win also...

Look- offense and sustained drives are all about execution. For example- MVS makes a finger tip catch of a poorly thrown pass on 3rd down to extend a drive. That drive ends in a crucial TD that put a ton of pressure on Miami and they wilted. All season long, we have seen the other teams make that little play to extend a drive- now the Packers’ youngsters are starting to do it.

So yes, it’s coming around. This is a positive to take forward with you. Defense is coming around too, little by little. As these young players settle into the roles and learn each week, the defense will be better. You can see that already on the field.

Other than that, it was an above average performance with a solid result. They need to get it together quick- the trip to Seattle is a killer on a short week. Can’t really afford to lose more than one more game this year, so this is a big win to steal. And the NFC is far from decided... the Rams are not a good defensive team and the Saints are peaking too soon...

+++   The most enjoyable Packer game I've watched in a long time.

Even more than beating Niners on MNF 33-30? Or beating Bears opening game after being down 20-0?

Yes. The whole game was mostly stress free.

Ohhhh.....so you want stress free games. Like 2011 regular season. Ok got it.

The Packers came into the game ranked 6th in the NFL in sacks with 25. With 6 more, they are now at 31.

The ranked ahead of the Bears with the mighty Mack.

That Pettine has been able to get this many sacks with Perry and CMIII doing virtually nothing is incredible.

Just imagine in 2019 what Pettine could do with real pass rushers drafted and/or signed in FA.

+ The "Laces Out Finkel" sign that someone had in the crowd was hilarious.

- The special teams were not so hilarious, but at least they got some revenge with a fake punt of their own.

The Pack did what they had to do to win.  They've got a long long ways to go to get to where the Saints are at right now.  Right now, I'm assuming that draft pick we get from them will be #32 next year.

And got the ball to Jones more.

Positives were some signs of life from the defense, showing a willingness to run the ball in the red zone and inside the 5 and not falling apart after an early turnover.

Negatives were the injuries, continued perplexing play calls in shorter yardage situations and flat out refusal to keep going back to what’s working. It’s gotten so predictable that joe six pack sitting on the couch can pretty much call out the next series of plays.

I get that Aaron Rodgers is capable of playing better, but I think we may be a little numb to how good he actually is.

He is on pace to throw for 5000 yards and has 17 TDs and 1 interception. He was probably more healthy today than he has been all year.

The criticism of him by the media about having a bunch of throwaways is just stupid. Like Boris said, his biggest error today was taking a sack to push them out of field goal range. So you throw the ball away to save taking a sack. Haven't we all said he needs to throw the ball away more to avoid taking unnecessary hits and losing yards on sacks? Criticizing a QB for throwaways (other than 4th down plays) is what you do when you can't find much else to criticize.

-

Less concerned about the throwaways than I am with the visible frustration from AR and the missed throws he usually makes. Passing game appears broken and they'll probably need to ride Jones.

Special teams. Will probably take a coaching change to fix them.

Aaron Jones and the running game. OL opened up some huge holes for him.

Pettine continues to work his magic with limited personnel. Always have liked Raven Greene and Brown appears to have some potential as well.

++

Love what Pettine is doing with this D. What a difference.

Alexander, Jones, holes by OL (they were big enough and long enough to let Jones rip off chunks of yardage), Greene

AR’s attitude. Hard to tell if he’s mad at his receivers, himself, or MM. Whatever, he’s got to be more even keeled.

Brown’s block. He put his shoulder into the guy’s chest so at least it wasn’t his head, but totally uncalled for. Don’t mess with a guy’s career.

Perry. Body just isn’t built for the game. Gone after this year.

Zook. For pete’s sake Gutterguts and MM, zook him!

Good win and did what was expected. Can’t get too excited beating a bad Miami team, but at least it didn’t come down to a FG or hoped-for miracle.
